Good morning,
I am French and I come to explain to you my doubts about a person whose name I will not reveal in order to confirm them or not:
the story is about a Tudor BigBlock, this person approached me (on an RWI forum) to build it, after some thinking time I gave him confidence and supplied him with the watch in spare parts and also sent another watch for recover the Valjoux 7750 movement…the case lasted a few months, there were still parts or settings missing, until the day I pressed it to send it to me….and I never received it, I I contacted him several times, he told me that the watch had been sent without follow-up by a former watchmaker colleague to whom he had entrusted it for some finishing touches….
I dropped him for a while (a few months) then I came across his Instagram and Facebook account of his repair company that he had started…. and I saw photos of the same model as the watch he was to make me, as well as the photo he had already sent me of the Valjoux 7750 "carrying" watch movement!!! these photos were posted a good month after he was supposed to have sent me the Tudor!!!
I find it daring.
From there I doubted him even more, I cleared this with him and through another ADMIN of this SCAM group, but the result was what I imagined, he totally denied that it was not MY watch but another (his) that he had also started a few months ago (he had vaguely spoken to me about it but never showed any photos or said where he had bought it these spare parts, apart from the dial gen supposedly at £150 because a marker was missing) … moreover, the ADMIN knew the person well so he necessarily believed him.
Anyway, I stopped questioning him, I dropped the case and I continued to chat by Messenger with him about Tudor parts to try to rebuild me a watch (which by the way does not still hasn't given me any information for a few weeks), and by re-reading the history of the photos he had sent me during the construction, I came across a photo he had sent to me which made "think" (no magnifying glass for the date); So I asked him if it was a picture of my watch and he confirmed it, and then I started comparing it with the pictures of "his" watch belonging to him...I noticed some common similarities and flaws.
I'm sending you some pictures, take the time to take a good look when you have time and tell me what you think, thank you.
