Saw a rep fiddy at the mall today :D

Funny, I passed by one of those battery changing/strap resizing outfits, and notice the guy working there was wearing a fiddy.

A look at the leather band tells me its a rep ;) But, heck, let's give the guy the benefit of the doubt and ask him 'bout it.

Me: "scuse me sir, is that a fiddy you're wearing there?"

The guy didn't even look at me, and sat on his high horse while saying:

Guy: "yes it is."

Me : "Mind if I take a look? It's so limited-ed it's hard to spot"

Guy: "No I'm busy right now"

He still didn't even look at me.. rude fellow ;) I think he knows that he has just been busted :lol: :lol:

I was about to do the "dark side" secret handshake, but heck, I don't think you fellows are mean and rude like this guy... so must be from some other place 8) 8)

He's at the valley fair mall. Big-boned asian dude ;)

One of those outfits that changes batteries etc. They also sell lotsa Invictas, Seikos, Hamiltons. They have couple of Oris too...

There's only one outfit that has this, but heck, you'll prolly spot the rep Fiddy first before anything else ;) bwahahaha :lol: :lol:

@tak: stevens creek valley fair in san jose, CA.

SWEET. i want to go take a look at his invictas... then harass him about his fiddy... i dunno, maybe play dumb...say things like "wow, what's that? a fossil?"

lol. i was just thinking about that :D

funny thing is i met a liquor store clerk wearing a rolex and i asked about it. It was nice and shiney, but he sorta shy'ed away from me :(

it's not like i was gonna mug him. maybe it's a rep too?

Hmmm... shine doesn't automatically justify for genuine :lol: but could be. Anyway, getting 1 genuine Rolex is achievable.

@taka Getting a gen fiddy is also achievable :) 1950 made right? hmmm.. now that I think about it again, it's still hard.. simple law of supply and demand :D

every single person i know with a real rolex needs to clean and polish it. men and women alike. they are always scratched up and in need of a polishing. its funny because they know it looks bad. i will say " nice rolex" and the first thing they will say is, thank's but it needs to be cleaned. lol, when you have that kind of money for allot of people it's just a watch.

No secret handshake required :shock: No member here would where a rep working for a watch shop unless it was a real good rep. Even then I would doubt it.

Ain't this the truth. Got an older gentlemen friend (my boss) wearing a beat up gen yachtmaster (I asked to look at it one day) he dinged the platinum bezel so bad that I could see if it's real plat or not ;) and yes it's real plat.... gawd damnit he does not care for his watch ;)

But hey, as hk45ca mentioned.. those guys really don't care :D

one of the owners to another animation studio upstairs wears a gen tag. He playe dso much with the bezel that it eventually just came off. Hasn't replaced it since. been like 10 years now.

:D we get their overflow work. anyone seen the target x-mas commercials with all the snow and black and white snowflakes? there's 6 of em. we worked on that. I did the stupid f'ing tree textures.

is the fiddy that rare? i haven't seen it at our shreve - they had a radiomir, gold chrono, and some gold radiomir.

Tree texture is not easy :lol: HO HO HO HO HO.

It's rare in your city but not here in Singapore. I have spotted a few gen Fiddies here. Mostly in collector's hand.

my wife's doctor is a woman and she wears a oyster band tt dj and nothing on it shines anymore. a freind of mine wears a tag while he works on cars and it is just beat down and tore up. another freind of mine wears a yg day date and all of it looks like it's a brushed finnished because it is so dull.

This is a good idea!! What we can do is we can do the "just passing by customer trick"
