Sapphire crystal for 372

I've seen that some 372's come with sapphire on the front crystal instead of the plexiglass. Will this fit a 372? It's for a 127 fiddy.

Not sure where I saw the version with the sapphire. I might have gotten confused with the sapphire caseback.

AFAIK there is no 372 with sapphire crystal. And never should be, IMO.

And why would someone need one?
Firstly, you can polish the plexi easily.
Secondly, you can buy plexi with less money than sapphire.

I personally see no issue with plexi scratches. As a matter of fact, I like them. They show that the watch lives a life and is not a "bubble boy" or a "safe queen"

372 was designed with vintage in mind, plexi is close to the historical roots. So why ruin a beautiful design? Just my 2 cents.

Agreed. I just received mine today and live the look of the plexi.

The gen PAM372 comes with a plexi crystal. That's why they provide a spare plexi crystal with your purchase. Other PAMs come with a much harder sapphire crystal, hence they don't need a spare.

To be fair though, I haven't been babying the PAM372 (although I have not been swinging my arm carelessly as well :lol: ) and I have not seen anything in the way of a scratch or crack.

Also, the PAM372 has a 3mm plexiglass. The PAM127 comes with a 2mm sapphire crystal.

I agree with above. One of the reasons to buy the 372 is the plexi! Or try the 422 in the future ..

I'm not understanding why you're looking to swap the plexi, when that's what's on a GEN

Like everyone has already said, the Gen has plexi. If you want the sapphire, just cause, then that one from WSO should fit. I had a 127, which is also a 47mm luminor case, and the crystal pressed in perfectly.

But that crystal is for a PAM127, so it would follow that the WSO crystal should fit your PAM. The PAM372 does not have the exact same case as the PAM127, which is a complete fiddy case whereas the PAM372 is a combination of a Luminor and a Radiomir case.

Maybe someone with a PAM372, a PAM127 and a crystal press could find out definitively.
