Sandwich Dial Models

I recently took ownership of a Panerai Luminor Marina, through a local purchase and see why they are such a loved watch.

I was wondering which models come in a sandwich dial model? (If my terminology is correct and that would mean the recessed numbers)

Are only the more expensive models created with this? Or is it just specific models?

Thanks for any insight

Newer models would best describe the one that come sandwich.

Sausage dial are normally found on older pre-v watches but are found on recent pieces too.

Nothing to do with price btw.

Thanks, will have to take a closer look at the current models with sandwich dials as they seem to look much more elegant than the sausage variants.

Dont be put off of a sausage dial. I have had a lot of pams and absolutely loved sandwich dials until I got a 005! The sausage dials have a quality of their own, they're easily readable and I've found the lume brighter too.

Once you have one panerai model you'll soon be bitten and want more so I'm sure you'll end up with both dial types anyway!
