Rumours On Skyland v3

Well... I should put it as Skyland v2 of v1's maker.

Tell is the long chrono pushers. This appear to have the same case as v1 but with fixed lume dots at 3. Will consider this piece as it has better dial and thicker hands than the v2.

Indeed... With the dial fixed, the price may go up but I doubt will be significantly. Seems that the way to achieve nearer to gen, you need to buy this v2 (to take advantage of good bezel and shorter chrono pusher and swap out the dial and caseback with v3).

Wenda, Do you know when it will be available? This are good news since it is a nice watch but the hands and dial are crap.
PT is just in China and he told me that the PVD Skyland is done by 2 different factories, he will let me know by tomorrow which one is the best.

Indeed... But the engraved rotor is already around on v1... Improvement is only to the dial lume dot at 3 as far as I can tell.

A ton of the V1 and V2 already sold.. missed the boat imo.. (but I'm not one to buy the same rep over and over just for small corrections).

And in reality.. we feed the beast when we do this....

My sentiments too D4Me, it's possible only to get parts, no matter how difficult it is but such move will only bring down the price of v1 or to a certain extent v2 even further.... I know that the margin for these 2 models are pretty tight.

I think that the lesson learnt time and time again is that when a new version 'super rep' is brought out, simply hold fire 'till the dust settles.

Yep, I buy the V2 at $210 and sell for $235..

The V1 at the price of the group buy was the best value for that quality of rep ever offered imo.

The smart thing to do is buy the V1, Gen Dial, Gen Bracelet.. and have one hell of a nice watch!

@d4me: the v1 has too long of a pusher. I will be happy with v2, gen dial, gen hands

The caseback is not that huge of a flaw and it has running serial number actually. Got a gen strap already.

Its swings and roundabouts I held fire to get the v2 and just got it on monday Im still chuffed with it and Ive compared it with the gen (threw the ad shop window)
and 99% of people wont be able to tell the difference, its just certain sellers trying to bleed us dry if you want 100% rep you may aswell buy the gen, people who Know me Know im into reps Ive never tried to fool any one Im in this hobby cause its fun some seem to forget that

indeed Konig... If you ask me, the v2 Blacksteel Skyland takes a huge lead over this v3.

What I am saying that it's possible to mod this watch further with gen parts and there are still flaws no matter what. It's a rep afterall.

I will know more about it on Friday, PT is in China and will have that watch in his hand on Friday. Order is out for it. It could be on my wrist next week.

I think I would still go for the v2 given the choice (if the price was the same), as the v2 AR is better than the v1 (and v3) AR which has a blueish hue to it.
