So it’s not holding the charge for more than X hours?

same thing with mine. Just service it if you can’t live with it not holding charge for too long.

Mine runs for for two hours after a good shake but then stops if I am not wearing it

You might have a rotor issue, you can contact the td and ask for a return or carry your omf to a friendly ws.

Is the rotator supposed to move? I hear of people complaining about the noise of the rotor on this watch but mine makes no noise because the rotator doesn't move.

It should spin yeah

It doesn't....Wore it today for 5 hours it stopped again...I'm hoping if a watchsmith can fix the rotor that will solve my issue...I know I am dealing with a rep but just a joke for it to not even work when it arrives and the TD tells me they tested it for a day....I at the very least expect it to work for a few months the same as a 40 timex would....

I understand, you should return it to the td.

Where I need to be.
I’ll advise you against returning it. Yes it’s the TD’s responsibility to supply you with a working watch. But consider the following:

1. Shipping the watch back will cost you some money and maybe another month back and forth in total.

2. You risk Chinese customs issue when you return the watch.

3. When your watch is returned your td will simply send a new one out to you. It may have the same issue or a different set of issues. The shipping process could also affect the watch in unknown ways.

4. Spend a little more money and get the movement serviced and repaired locally instead. It’ll ensure you have a working and reliable movement and someone to take care of your watch conveniently.

5. The miyota movement winds in the clockwise direction and it should spin freely in the anti clockwise direction (non winding position).

NewYorkR are you located in New York? There is a modder in NY who can service your watch locally. PM me if you need his contact. Regular service will set you back about $150, perhaps that would fix the issue.

Like legend mentioned above, not a good idea to send anything to China really, better get it serviced locally. Yes, extra money, but better than losing the watch in the mail.

Get it fixed locally. It is actually probably not a serious problem IMO. You can always just replace the entire MIyota movement for about $35 for an entirely new movement.
