I just bought a 243, I don't have it in hand yet but from the pics the valve is rotated 90 degrees. How is the valve on a H series inserted ? Is it hard to rotate it ? If I open the watch can it be popped out and put back in, or can it be rotated without taking the watch apart ?

Hello

I also bought myself a noob and 243 helium valve is rotated 90°....:)
I think that all of these are so noob.
However , just disassemble the watch to Case and turn the valve.:)
It's easy to make........... ;)
I want to clarify that I have seen an original 243 with the valve in the same position.

Cheers

Yes gens are the same there is no correct orientation, there is no need to adjust.

Now I'm looking at the noob on Puretime's website and that one has the valve at a 30 degrees angle, I guess the valve reflects the mood of the assembler.

Yes , is possible , but I've seen 3 243 rep and all He Valve rotating.
However , also wrote , U can disassemble the case and replace.
Well , if is 90° is right...... ;)
If it is in any other position is to be disassembled and turn.

Not really. It's really better to explain this with a picture. The head of the valve can spin due to the design. There is not "correct" orientation.

Well done frig
I agree with you

No orientation because it can rotate and there is no "correct" orientation as you well have said

You can actually press the valve gently with your thumb and rotate it slowly. Bit by bit.

i agree with the other members.

there's no real need to "straighten" out the HE valve BUT, if it really bothers u, do it. its your watch :)

I will now rotate that valve everyday to match my mood.
Kidding aside I will probably take the watch apart to grease all the o-rings and check the valve to see if it has the same construction as shown in the diagram, if it doesn't it's gonna get glued shut.

You will take an unnecessary risk.
Leave your valve like that and enjoy your watch.
You want to get it waterproofing and in other way you can ruin it disassembling the valve !! It makes no sense !!
If you get a problem maybe you will not have solution.
