i took some pics of this crystal i bought it came in a rolex wax envelope. i just want to make sure its real i want to use it on a future project. thanku all for the help. as usual sorry for the pics, i dont know how come they come out small.

Was it a seller on Ebay or do you have any details regarding who you bought it from? I'm sure that would help people, since there is bound to be someone here that has done business with the person if they are a good seller. I bought a vintage gen crown recently and the seller was over in Switzerland. I posted some info about it (on another board, actually) and low and behold, a member knew the guy and had done business with him in the past. He confirmed he indeed was a good parts supply guy and my part was gen. 
What did you pay for it? I just picked up a Tropic T19 service dome from Clark for my 1680. Can't wait to get it installed. I looked at gen but they were way more than my budget allowed with the other things I am doing to it.

The best way to tell quality of a plexi is to put it on a piece of graph paper and see how much distortion you see in the lines looking at it from different angles.
