Hi all,

I just heard from someone who looked at Rolex Watches at an official dealer in NYC that Rolex is just stopping putting green holograms on the back of their watches. Also the certificates will change will be in the format of a credit card.

Anyone who can confirm this?
What might they instead use on the watch - a hidden RFID chip/tag ?

Since april this year they dont use them anymore. They also have a new warranty like a credit card no paper work anymore, with micro printings and also a printing witch only can bee seen with uv light and the printing is like the old holograms with the rolex rolex rolex.....

as for the watch case back, I saw numbers "laser etched?" on the case back. I don't know if this was just on the transparent sticker with the red line, or it was actually etched (black) on to the caseback. AD showed it to me just last month.

Navigater,

thanks for the very interesting info.
So anyone heard whether they are introducing something other more complicated to fight fakes ? (Like RFID-chips?)
