I've never owned a vintage Rolex Explorer, but when I put this together for a friend on the forum I realised I may have been missing out on something.

This is a fantastic looking vintage watch, full of character - and a true 'Franken'. Yet the build cost remains very reasonable especially considering the case is Rolex. (not sure exactly of the total spend, but it's somewhere between $500 and $600 I believe)

Specs:

Refinished Rolex case, with Rolex tube, crown and case back.
ETA low beat movement.
Clarks crystal.
Aftermarket bezel ring.
Whoopy dial.
Reworked Cartel folded link bracelet.

This is a great one, again. So simple in design but with so much harmony in it.
Well done @tripdog
