It looks gen sir! The midcase/caseback/bezel/crown. The dial tho...is refinished or straight rep . It's was a very common act in the late 80s/earlier 90s to refinish Tudor dials as Rolex.

Can he show you the auto prince 2824 movement?

Well I'll be damned, I'll ask him. The dial is ugly though. He's asking $950 CDN for it, so I guess about $725 USD.

So what model would it be? Or can you not tell based on that and the dial being wrong.

Would it be worth purchasing this and adding a genuine dial and rep bracelet?

Looks like a Tudor reference 75203 to me

Imo its not worth the asking price without a bracelet and aftermarket/fake dial. Condition also doesn't look too good.

And dont forget that these are 34mm and not 36mm like the Datejust

It really depends how much you want it personally.

I cant imagine itd worth the trouble sourcing a used gen dial plus a service at this pricepoint.

Build or let someone build you a franken instead

I just bought a gen tudor dial it will perfect for this one lol. I am planning to use raffles two tone case and bracelet. I made a tudor before with gen linen dial also and it looks great even tho i never get to wear it.

Thanks for the info.

The seller told me that they go for $2000 to $3000 USD all original, so jis I'd a good price.

Really I was more than curious about it than anything.

If thats what you really want you shouldn't settle for less. Tudor is nice for what it is but Rolex still takes the crown.

If a Datejust is what you wanted in the first place you will not be happy in the end with "just" a tudor oysterdate.

Either build upon a rafflescase bicolor caseset and 14k wrapped bracelet or source a genuine 16xxx caseset, I have seen complete ones without bracelet for 300 euro on ebay. They are not as rare or expensive as newer refs. I would recommend the gen caseset.
