I have a gen dial I would like to put into a sea dweller. The movement is an ETA 2836 and the dial has no feet.

What is the order of operation fir the swap?

Remove existing dial and hands. Glue date wheel spacer ring to movement. Then glue dial to spacer ring?

What is the preferred glue? Hypo? Gorilla glue?

Don't use Gorilla glue on anything to do with watches. It expands way to much. I was using Shoe Glue but haven't been able to find it lately so I've also used Loc-Tite Stik-N-Seal Outdoor Adhesive which I like because it's water proof and crystal clear.

You can either use dial dots or the way you suggested. I've done both although dial dots are easier and faster. Once you get it all together, the movement tabs pretty much hold it all together.
