Mine has held up fine no issues at all. There were some side by side pics taken on repgeek comparing the gen yellow gold DD40 to this wrapped one and it was very similar.

This is the closest you are going to get in terms of gold color as of rite now. I highly recommend you buying it!

Lol it's all good, Mine is the yellow gold.

Sometimes with the combo lighting and the camera it can look a bit rose. I noticed that more with the plated model then the wrapped but I can assure you in person that is not the case.

This watch looks even better in person then any pic can show!

I am formally making a request for a lot more pictures. Lol..actually I know this watch well, ive had it in the hand quite a bit but still ..more photos!

I would like to point out the biggest reason I dont own one of these reps. First of all its a great piece and with a gen xtal and crown and hands even better. However there is one MASSIVE reason why I wont get one. It all comes down to the details and gold. When you look at the bracelet from an angle the sides of the president links are gold obviously. Im gen these are 100% polished shiny gold. Maybe our friend here with his 60k gen can show everyone . The rep is fully "wrapped" yes (actually just plated on the sides but thats another story) but the sides of the links, which in this presidential bracelet is quite prevalent, are not buffed to a mirror finish. They are a dull matte gold. Like an unpolished plated gold. Now, if you dont know exactly what the gen looks like, the rep looks awesome. But after you spend some time with the gen and see how the light EXPLODES from the bracelet, because of all these little mirror finishes, the rep just doesnt do that and for me personally I would rather spend my 1.4k on a solid 18k ST bracelet for a bluesy and get my gold kicks that way. Now, if your thinking you can polish the side of the middle pres links, dont..they are not really "wrapped" but plated and you will just rub off all the color. The thick layer is only on the top and sides of the outside link on the bracelet. Where most of the wear will occur.

I want to say that im not trying to bum out anyone who owns and loves this rep. Im very sorry to post ANYTHING critical about this rep because it is that good. In all honesty I am being very anal here. Very, very few people would known what im talking about and wven fewer would be able to spot it. This is an extreamly rare piece in the wild! I am being very overly critical here. I have a problem, I know this. But at the end of the day I have to live with myself and I can drive myself crazy...lol amazing piece...the gold is just stunning
