I’m new to forums in general, so apologies if this has been answered elsewhere. I’m still trying to figure out how to navigate the site I am just wondering some of the more experienced members opinion is on this. I think what is most important to me is that the watch looks and feels as genuine as possible. Also, advice on a dealer that ships to the UK would be a bonus. TIA.

Hi and welcome to RWI! Glad you found your way here.
The differences between clean and VSF are minimal, they're both excellent reps, you won't go wrong with either.
Sead/Supermirrors and Andiot have UK stock, check out their sections to find out more.

Another good thread to read to understand where RWI comes from and some fundamentals is this:
Most of the information you need to know to start is there. If you're preparing to buy, read the stickies before ordering. When you're finished, you can continue learning by reading the stickies in all remaining sections. If it's stickied, it's important information.
If you intend to sell, read the sales rules and all stickies in the sales section with particular care and make sure you understand each single rule. Sales rules infraction is taken very seriously here. As a new member you are not eligible to sell. Using the sales section is a privilege, eligibility must be earned, make sure you know and understand how.

I've been through quite some DJs and as of today, I'd say go VSF if you don't plan on modding it. This is simply because of the better Crystal (and also better rehaut nowadays).
If you plan on modding, get a GMF v2 (i still think that's the best case), put a VR3235 movement in it, VSF bracelet, clasp, caseback, gen gasket/Crystal (but GMF crystal is best ootb).
For the dial, well depends on the color.
Blue is pretty good on both, vsf/clean. Also Rhodium. Wouldn't go green.
Lighter colors, white: GMF.

I wouldn’t be looking to mod it. I’m just after a nice looking watch to wear for the minute. Maybe VSF is the way to go. In regards to face, I’m looking at the two slate options. See pics.

I've been out of the loop for a while but I saw VSF datejust 41s smooth jubilee at over $700 bucks now.. is this right? are they NWBIG cause that's a hefty price tag...

You serious? A cursory search of the dealers shows the max price is $570
You can get it for like $400 from Anidiot
Average price seems to be like $450
$700 sounds like a modded Datejust with some gen parts or something

I'm not the OP, I just thought I'd ask because I'm looking for a DJ41 smooth, jubilee either blue or green not sure yet... I'll ask Chazingtime about the pricing, thanks Feefo
In my subjective opinion, I prefer Clean Datejust 41 + Deep crystal modification. I think TDs (Trusted Dealers) can help you do this modification for an extra charge.
But if you want a straightforward solution, then VSF Datejust 41. VSF crystal is vastly superior to the recent Clean Datejust 41 that i have just handled.

Just wondering if I wanted a DJ41 Black Dial with smooth bezel and jubilee, which option would end up with a better overall result:
VSF DJ41 Smooth/Jubilee
Or
CF DJ41 Deep Xtal + VSF Smooth Bezel swap?

I prefer the above combination. I like the case shape of the clean factory datejust 41 more.
But to save hassle, you can also buy a vsf 126300 with smooth bezel and jubilee bracelet.
As far as I know, clean factory doesn't make 126300.

If you ask me, the best out of the box experience Datejust will be from the VSF Factory.
Of course if you wish to have the best of the best, you might want to consider upgrading parts like bezel, dial etc with genuine if you can find the parts.
