Rolex - Air King 126900 Purchase Status

Hi Everyone,

First time buyer of an Air King 126900 CF from Andiot Watches.

The Air King 126900 may not be for everyone but this watch ticks my own personal requirement (e.g. no date, and a little different from the Explorer and not as busy as the Submariner).

To be honest, I was tossing between VSF and CF (emphasis on a superior finish) but after much research and Elliot's recommendation, finally decided to go with CF.

I placed the order during Chinese New Year on the 3rd of Feb and spotted the preferred watch from Elliot's CF online yupoo album. Elliot asked me to check if it was in stock and indeed it was! Although there was only one left. I quickly made payment and have been waiting for QC pictures to be sent through.

I was under the impression it was in stock (seeing it with my own eyes in the yupoo album) and hence assumed that QC pics would be sent to me within a few days.

Anyway, I was wrong and most likely someone else had ordered the watch before me. I do track Andiot's live QC album for my order number once a few days and have seen that watch let to somebody else.

I believe Elliot is now waiting for a new batch to come from CF. I actually did ask him when to expect QC but the tentative timeline given has far been exceeded. I was told that qc pics will be sent when ready.

It's been almost 2 weeks from purchase with no sign of QC pics but I have learnt to adjust my expectations seeing that factories are closed during CNY. As this is my first purchase, can't help to feel excited about the QC and ultimately receiving the watch itself.

This thread isn't a complaint about Andiot Watch - just sharing my experience here. I know some people have waited for 4 weeks to obtain QC pics. The wait kinda gets easier the longer it is.

6th Feb - QC pics advised to be sent in the next 2 days
10th Feb - Enquired for an update and was told QC will be sent when ready

Just posting an update here.

My QC pics although being available on Andiot live yupoo album was not actually sent to my actual email address. QC pictures were available on the 18th Feb but no email sent for me to review/approve. I checked the watch - per above posting and was happy with the quality!

I waited a few days later (thinking to give Elliot time and he's snowed under) till the 20th Feb and messaged Elliot on Whatsapp stating that (a) I have seen the QC pics on the live album on the 18th Feb and (b) I did not received any emails for QC pics and hence could not GL/RL.

He then asked me to approve it on Whatsapp if I was ok with it. Of course I was ok, I checked the QC pics 2 days prior and did so.

A few days later, the tracking number was available on my order history via Andiot's website. I only see this because I log in once everyday to check the status.

However, my order did not change from "processing" to "processed". *Processed" means that QC pics have been sent to me. Up till now it's still under "processed".

I then saw my watch being shipped on the 18th Feb on the tracking information - the same day the QC pics were available on the live album. This means that even if I RL the watch, it would still be on its way to me.

I believe Elliot has made the decision for me that the watch was impeccable. The timegrapgher results were great too and there was no flaw I could pick at.

Another way to look at this is that he's buried with orders and is struggling to send the QC pics out to designated email addresses - at least in my experience. The order status on Andiot's website is also not automatic - meaning that he has to manually change the order status and hence should only be taken with a grain of salt.

29th Feb - Expected Arrival of Watch to AUS

For a first time buyer, I proceeded with an optimistic outlook and learnt how to adjust my expectations.

The watch is scheduled to arrive in the next few days and it has been great throughout the hunt and wait. I have not felt this way (adrenaline rush, excited, anxious, happy, looking online at other rep watches/QC) for a very long time when purchasing.

I ordered on the 13th Jan and am still waiting for one watch to come into stock, have recently changed it to a different model due to the wait but he mentioned it would be around 7 days but it's now 2 weeks on . Obviously this is not elliot fault but I just want it on my wrist.

What is the live album you mentioned? Also how did you find your QC pics without getting an email? One of the watches has been in stock for a while but not seen the QC pics as I think he is waiting for the other to come in

TDs usually have a 24-hour period after sending the QC for you to respond. If they don’t receive a reply, they consider it approved. Maybe it’s a case of an email not going through, which is why it was sent?

Anyway, great to see that you’re positive about the whole thing. The watch looks absolutely fantastic, and I’m sure you’re going to be happy with it

Andiot sent this to me before I placed an order as part of a walkthrough on what to expect during QC.

I timed his estimated arrival date of my watch and stalked the album twice a day. As I ordered an Air King from Clean Factory, once I saw the model from CF popped up (as other people who ordered the same watch as me were also receiving their QC pics) - I knew I was getting close to getting QC.

So yeah, the album did get updated with my order number and QC pics but I was never notified via email/whatsapp/Andiot's website.

Another further update is that I have since purchased another watch recently and have received QC pics as part of a status update on Andiot's website via order history. No email but I had to go to Andiot's website to review the status. He actually has the actual link to the QC album as part of your order status update.

Safe to say Andiot was snowed under during and after CNY and did not have time to update the order status (for my first purchase).

Yes - I'm very aware of Andiot's steps and procedures. And that was also what I was afraid about, me not receiving QC and the watch being shipped 24 hours later as it may have gone to my spam. Or the TD may think he's sent it but actually not.

Safe to say I got no updates for my first purchase and had to rely on stalking the live album and talking to Elliot. I did my research on the Air King from CF and know that they have actually perfected the watch so I was really relaxed with the QC pics.

Thankfully it worked out alright. And the watch is so great and amazing. I studied the actual Rolex manual to adjust the Easy-Link which I had no idea to adjust.

I am also sending it for a service / water proofing. The watch maker is telling me it's going to take 2 weeks so I am just trying to spend a bit more time with the watch since I just got it less than a week ago lol.
