It looks to have the wrong size markers on the dial.

To summarise, there are a lot of scam sites out there. Reading up on this forum will keep you right. Buy from trusted dealers from here and dont believe half of the bull*&^ out there on websites that claim to have swiss made watches etc. Not saying your watch wont show up but its safer to buy from trusted dealers.

Hopefully, you'll get an asian eta movement for the $164. BTW, there is no such thing as a japanese movement in reps.

Usually by Japanese movement they means the 21j which was made based on the miyota.
They just want to makes it sound nicer than saying ' china movement'

Not to put too fine a point on it, but I got a Miyota quartz movement in one of my reps.

But we should not expect a Japanese mechanical movement to be inside any rep, as you point out. Sites that declare such things are spam sites to be avoided, IMHO.

It's amazing how people come across this site AFTER they've bought a rep from a random site. I think people get into it once they know they've committed to something. I once bought reps from iOffer and was severely burned.

That being said, this forum is a great place for resources. You've bought a Rolex from a random site, so all we can hope is that you end up getting what you've paid for. My thoughts are, just because a rep site isn't one of the TD's here, it does not necessarily translate to the site being a scam site; though many are in fact scam sites. It could just be a website that isn't proven and that carries a lot of risks. Would I get involved in one of them, hell no.

Try to read the stickies on this section, flame free section, and the section of the brand that you're interested in. It will give you a general layout of how the rep business works, and how one should go about buying, taking care of, modding, or selling a rep(s).

Good luck!

Hang in there buddy, you're onof thousands who ended up here having done the exact same thing. It's a valuable learning lesson, not the end of the world. There is so much legit info here to read and learn. It is just gonna take some time and some due diligence. You are not the only one who has ben swayed by a Google search scam site and pulled the trigger. The good news is, you have found the right place to start your journey in the right rhelm. Keep the watch as a trophy and share your expericance with other noobs who are in the same spot you are some day.

Welcome

Please take the time to read the posts ("stickys") that are posed in the first part of the different sections of the site. Here's one to read on "The Top Ten Lies about Replica Watches."
