Rolex Submariner 6536-1.

The 6536-1 Submariner, which was concurrent with the 6538, is a slimmer, lighter, more discrete watch than the 6538. Both models had a relatively short production run of only a few years in the late '50's.
The 6536-1 was sold with many variations - lollipop second hand, standard second hand, swan neck Mercedes hands, standard Mercedes hands, 2 line dials, 4 line dials, red triangle insert, silver triangle insert . . .

As always for this build, a lot of time and effort went into creating an authentic looking vintage Rolex. No one part of the watch was neglected, no one part is in its original state, every part has been modified in some way in order to achieve the desired result.
The dial is a bespoke dial, made to mimic the effects of time and radium on the dials' surface.
The hands are swan neck with a white lollipop second hand and have been 'aged' to mimic the radium degrading the surface of the gold hands of the original 6536-1.
A genuine used Rolex T39 service crystal has been reshaped to the same profile as a genuine domed T16, the correct reference crystal for this watch but which are now very hard to find.
There is patina on the case, as well the nickel plated brass bezel ring and insert, representing a gently worn well preserved watch dating from the 1960's.
The bracelet has also been reworked in order to give the look and feeling of a frequently worn 60 years old bracelet. This bracelet will fit wrists from 17.5 cm - 20 cm. If your wrist is larger/smaller then you need to tell me before I ship so that I can add/subtract links from the bracelet.

Cost and parts breakdown:

Gen' spec' case, fully engraved. 800 euros
Hand finished true gilt 2 line dial: 265 euros
High quality 7206 rivet bracelet: 230 euros
Rolex T39 service crystal, used, reshaped: 110 euros
Hand set: 40 euros
Serviced Swiss ETA low beat 2842 with bespoke movement ring machined from solid brass: 230 euros
Period correct NOS Rolex 600 crown, new Swiss grade tube: 190 euros.
Polished gen' spec' 2mm spring bars: 12 euros
Athaya pearl, lumed: 15 euros
Build fees: 250 euros.

Total: 2142 euros.

SELLING PRICE 2140 euros.

I don't test for WR but the watch will be WR to at least 3ATM. If you intend to immerse the watch in water then have it tested before doing so.

No warranty, express or implied for the movement, I purchase them just as you do. Any other problems with the watch related to build defects/flaws, should they arise, and are not related to user error, I will sort out without charge.

Shipping does not include insurance. If you have specific shipping requirements then that should be discussed before you pay, not after.

Look at the pictures, read the description, know what you are buying. Questions should be asked before payment, not after, and certainly not after the watch has been shipped.

I do not accept returns unless the item is not as described.

No notes in PayPal/bank transfer - price is net to me.

Unless you tell me otherwise, for WW shipping this will be declared as 'used steel watch case ', with a value below your countries' import tax threshold.

I reserve the right to choose the buyer, first come is not first served. Payment by P.P. gift/family if I know you, if not, payment via Wise.
