Loving the bronze Rich, how did you manage to get it done?
Really really nice Rich. Were you going for a NOS look and then just wear it to put some real-world bumps and scrapes? I really love the non-over the top age/patina on this piece. It's so easy to go overboard, but then u end up with it looking forced/artificial. You really found the sweet spot. Kudos.
In my obsession to build all of these vintage Rolex I got one of these. It has the nicest dial of any vintage model I've seen. The gold hands and funky seconds hand just make it, especially when you brass the bezel. Pics:
wayyyyy off topic , but where were these pics taken ?
fantastic! love the shine on itYou use a propane torch. It is all about how long you leave it in the flame. Too short a time and it doesn't change enough, too long and it goes to a much darker color. You can remove it mechanically but it is a pain once you've blackened it to start over.
