Rolex 6154 strap

Hi guys,

just bought a rolex 6154 47mm from davidsen, and came with a nice strap, but what shoulf the buckle be like ? should it be marked rolex or GPF or Panerai or just blank ???

the originals for 70 years come with old style leatherstrap military see watchinger straps

The back of the buckle should mark GPF Mod Dep...

but I might be wrong...if anyone knew please correct this.

I would recomend a nice cracked leather strap from Elliot, tc straps, or a nice moose strap from Pete.

I have fitted a 26/26 dark brown leather with white straight stitch from bob that I bought a while ago for my fiddy but have spent a few hours bending and twisting it also been giving the case some minor scratching to take away the brand new look!

Are you wanting an accurate strap for the time period? Or to look like the original strap? I am not sure what it is you are looking for. The 6154 would have a strap similar to the ones pictured here : hxxp://www.vwmann.de/Vintage/vintage.html

I would like to see how you vintagized a Bob strap. Seems it would be difficult to do to pleather.

I think aged would be a better term, it just looks a little beaten.

You have to replace the xx with tt in hxxp. Or just copy paste up to the www.
