Hi all
General Q to all 1675 experts. I'm pulling the parts together for a 1960 PCG 1675 GMT and want to fit a a gen movement (@society). Has anyone done this conversion or have guidance on parts required?
I figure you would need to change out cannon pinion, seconds pinion and date wheel/gears and the date ring perhaps.

Are pdf's available of the parts lists for both versions?

Any guidance gratefully received

i have been looking into this and i gave up because the conversion process requires sourcing for a lot of ultra-rare parts

i also read there is an alternative lazy/cheap process for doing the 1570 to GMT conversion which has been proven unreliable
https://rwg.cc/topic/141303-cal-1570-gmt-tell-me-if-i-m-wrong/
and within the same thread, automatico provided a list of parts for GMT conversion
Here is most of what is needed to convert a 1565/75 to a 1565/75 gmt:

#8038 - center second pinion 5.70mm

#8037 - Cannon Pinion 3.39mm

#8039 - hour wheel with double toothing 2.44mm

#8040 - 24hr wheel 1.41mm

#8035 - Calendar Wheel nut

#8036 - Date Jumper

#8006 - Yoke for cam

#8008 - spring for cam yoke

#8011 - stud for cam

#8030 - Center wheel with Cannon Pinion

#8034 - Calendar Wheel

#8011 - Stud for Cam

#7965 - calendar spacer

Q...What is hard to find?

A...All of it.

Q...What is almost impossible to find?

A...#7965 - calendar spacer

#8034 - Calendar Wheel

#8039 - hour wheel with double toothing 2.44mm

7965 usually goes from $200 to $500

8034 usually $200 to $400

8039 usually $200 or so

Q...What else is needed?

A...Two cases of Jack Daniels and $2000+/-.

imo buying a 1575 GMT is the way to go (even though it is rare as...), or use an ETA 2846 with GMT conversion gears in a vietnam case

but interesting enough, phong apparently can convert a 1570 to gmt and it is listed on his website

Rolex 1570 conversion to GMT 1575

building a franken 1675 with a gen service dial, gen movement, and a vietnam case is one of my dreams

@pompompurin,
Thanks for the info you are a font of knowledge my friend. If the project stalls I have an ETA 2846 and parts to convert to GMT. Like you the 1675 is a grail watch for me so I will commit to building a 1565. Thank you for the parts list. I am a member across the road but I seem to spend all my time here so didn't check this out.

No worries buddy, it's great to share our passion and findings - even though I am still a beginner as I am learning about vintage Rolex and their subtle variations/anomalies over the years. I lurk everywhere (but I mainly comments in rwi) so I have some faint recollection of information whereabouts

By the way, I recommend contacting your 5512 mid case supplier, I believe they can source obscure movements including valjoux 72 and 1575 GMT - one of the supplier's personal watch is a vietnam case franken 1675 with gen movement.

Thanks for the advise. I chased him up a week or two ago and no response to date. Away on business perhaps?
