Hi guys,

after reading the reviews here, I decided to buy a Rolex 126300 with blue dial.

My specs:

- Clean Base
- Clean jubilee Bracelet
- VS3235 Movement
- Gen Blue Dial
- Gen DW
- Gen Hands
- Gen Crown
- Gen Crystal
- Gen Smooth Bezel

I contacted him via WhatsApp on Oct 3 rd. It took almost a week for him to respond.

I paid on Oct 31st.

I got the the qc pics on dec 5 th:

Due to christmas the watch arrived on jan 3rd :

The watch looks good. What I noticed:

- the bezel has scratches because the gen parts are used
- the crown stands a little bit off
- i think the date i a little bit too low?

Finally it was a nice an gentle communication with him. I am planning to buy the next watch.

This is another watch received by someone with a gen crown that doesn't fasten properly to the clean casetube. The modder described the last one in this configuration as a 'mistake'. Why keep offering gen crown as an option if it doesn't fit the casetube.

Grab yourself some cape code polishing cloths and go to town making that bezel less scratched.

That bezel is in diabolical condition. I'm so surprised you're happy enough with it to be planning your next model.

@Hasslebank If you bought a 'new' watch with a bezel in that condition, would you be happy?

I think it depends on the disclaimer. If Xing disclosed it is brand new or good condition then unacceptable. But if he said used parts then 🤷‍♂️

I mean I can see in QC pictures the bezel is scratched right? I would have spoken out then if I didn't want a fugged bezel.

Personally for me no big deal, 10 minutes of cape cod should fix it.

@Reaps Reaps, a rotten bezel has me suspecting someone takes just little pride in their work to me and just wants rid of gen parts provided in any condition. No the person with a chunk missing from their gen crown (that doesn't screw up on the clean case tube) only made the discovery as they shared their QC photos and I'd noticed it. They sent the item back for correction. My understanding in two cases has been that there's been very little communication between the modder and client throughout the build and that this is typical of this modder, and that the rotten parts have not been disclosed. The other person with casetube problems hadn't known til they received it either and sent the item back. Others made discoveries on receiving the item and writing a review. A bit pants.

@Reaps Gosh, I didn't make much sense there. Sorry. I just mean these crappy parts had not been disclosed to their buyer at all. I think it sucks.

@Reaps I don't know why it bothers me. I think some of these customers are newbs and just accept that it's "OK" you see. I shouldn't really have an opinion to share.

I get it mate, it's all down to opinions, . No harm no foul, I get what you mean.

My mentality is that we as the buyer hold the power to do our homework on our watches and know what we can tolerate or not. Trust, but verify. While we all hope that businesses are trustworthy, it's not really the case. The whole reason I joined RWI was to gain knowledge and the power never to get ripped a new one when buying watches and replicas. I understand that newbies/new members may not really know what they're looking at, it comes with time and experience and handling lots of watches.

The replica game, and even watches in general can have some fairly shady practices. I've seen real watches that were heavily overpolished that were sold as "good condition". Vintage watches are a mine field, hard to find honest people who disclose if the watch has had serviced parts or not. Stuff like gen watches sold without full links to an unsuspecting buyer (which can add hundreds of dollars to a watch).

My point is that we as the buyer hold alot of power but it comes with the necessary leg work and homework that we need to do. The the onus is ALWAYS on us as the buyer to do due diligence.

He don't offer Gen tube ?
I would never change the crown without changing the tube also ...

All I saw is on the two occasions when a gen crown has been installed and people upload their watch details to RWI, the gen crown does not fit the customer's watch tube. And the customers seem to not have been forewarned of the crown not fastening all the way or not fitting well. It is a surprise to them, on them receiving the watch. So I assume casetube has not been swapped for it's matching gen counterpart in either case.

So I think that newbs assume that each option to swap something for gen would be an upgrade, naturally. And yet asking for a gen crown is almost a downgrade because it loses functionality and sticks out like a sore thumb. I guess this is fixed if people just know not to order gen crown option and to stay with stock crown.
