Nice but not the best . Mbw seems to be the yardstick for all AP's but at 2x the price.

George told me that MBW is made 1 to 1 from the real watch and everyone else makes from a copy .

Is it worth it ?

I think so

Hmmm, Swiss 7750. Anyone know what the asking price is going to be for this AP Chrono?

There are still a few things they need to iron out on this rep:

It's lacking the date mag, which should be on the dial.

The sub-dials still do not look properly circular to me.

The hour markers are all wrong (the one @ 12 should be vertical and thicker, there shouldn't one @ 3 and the one @ 6 is too thick and should be wider).

The proportions on the AP badge are also wrong, but this is only obvious when comparing with the gen.

The screws on the bracelet are too big.

Engraving on the back could be much better (main issue is that writing is too thick).

Also there is the obvious running seconds @ 9 issue, although that is deliberate on this rep due to the constraints with the movement.

Some people say that the case on this rep is also a 1:1 copy, but I'm not convinced.

I hope this is still the prototype model...

Price for this will be at least $300, is my guess...

Just the movement of a Swiss eta 7750 at Ofrei is about $400.
I am going for the Ingenieur with the eta 2824. seems to be a pretty good rep and I have been eyeballing the IWCs. Can anyone think of a more perfect IWC rep than the Ingenieur?

Subdials REVERSED...

Doesn't anybody think that it's a big deal that the 9:00 and 12:00 sub-dials are REVERSED (i.e., the chrono sub-dial should be at 9:00 and the seconds sub-dial should be at 12:00)?????

Not a single rep -- not even the $800 and up reps -- have this right? WHY would anyone pay that much for a rep with such a totally obvious (and huge) flaw?

I agree. The case and bracelet are beautiful, but the dial has way too many problems. Anyone that couldn't spot the problem wouldn't know what an AP is, anyways. Anyone who knows what an AP is, would know that this one's a fake.
