I agree. But for me, I just think, the subdial spacing is acceptable. I like that they used the ST19. At least the movement is stable, and makes these more affordable.Omega prices will need to triple before they start making reps with proper subdial spacing.
I own the reduced.Wouldn’t one of these or even a previous one be accurate for the ref 3510.50 (gen but known as Replica, then they changed and called it Omega Speedmaster ‘Reduced’ because of the connotation of the word Rep?
Its a Gen homage essentially of the original speedies but they used a Lemania? Essentially Venus 175 almost equivalent to St1902?
The subdial spacing was wider in the 3510.50 retails from like 1800-3K USD now if appears.
Let me know yalls experience or insight?
Additionally, the seconds subdial is flipped on the ST19 with the reduced. On the gen reduced it's at the 3. On the ST19 the seconds hand is at the 9.I own the reduced.
I think it would be better but the thickness would be off. And still, the subdial spacing, unironically this time, would not be wide enough. And the crown height,/pusher height would be out of place since the "Reduced" uses a DD2020 (Dubois Depraz Chronograph Module) slapped on top of a 2892 ETA. The crown sits lower than the pushers.
And the reduced is so cheap that I don't think it's worth it to get the rep for it.
With respect. I hope you are wrong!Omega prices will need to triple before they start making reps with proper subdial spacing.
Good catch. Not promising but could be batch related with pieces kept in not ideal conditions It's strange how that can happen though as I've had a gen Oris do that with no moisture in the watch, had the dial replaced and it happened again although very minimally.
I couldn't resist. I bought the moonshine gold on rubber strap gen... 🫣
This GIF never geta old.
This looks pretty slick not gonna lie... is this gen though? The sub dial spacing looks right on on this pic.
