Omega prices will need to triple before they start making reps with proper subdial spacing.
I agree. But for me, I just think, the subdial spacing is acceptable. I like that they used the ST19. At least the movement is stable, and makes these more affordable.

Just treat these as a toy and a "homage", to see if you like the real thing.

Omega Speedmasters are one of the few watches I still believe gen is worth it. The co-axial escapement is a true watchmaking innovation and the heritage of the piece makes the gen worth it.

Wouldn’t one of these or even a previous one be accurate for the ref 3510.50 (gen but known as Replica, then they changed and called it Omega Speedmaster ‘Reduced’ because of the connotation of the word Rep?
Its a Gen homage essentially of the original speedies but they used a Lemania? Essentially Venus 175 almost equivalent to St1902?

The subdial spacing was wider in the 3510.50 retails from like 1800-3K USD now if appears.

Let me know yalls experience or insight?

I own the reduced.

I think it would be better but the thickness would be off. And still, the subdial spacing, unironically this time, would not be wide enough. And the crown height,/pusher height would be out of place since the "Reduced" uses a DD2020 (Dubois Depraz Chronograph Module) slapped on top of a 2892 ETA. The crown sits lower than the pushers.

And the reduced is so cheap that I don't think it's worth it to get the rep for it.

Additionally, the seconds subdial is flipped on the ST19 with the reduced. On the gen reduced it's at the 3. On the ST19 the seconds hand is at the 9.

Disappointing! The st.19 is a workhorse and OMF along with all of these are GREAT watches. Quality is very nice. The subdial spacing is sadly unbearable, im not very picky either. But i just can't look at the reps the same. Just my opinion.

For these models I am VERY dubious of the Rose Gold model. Even on the promotional images there seems to be massive oxidization of the markers and hands.

Good catch. Not promising but could be batch related with pieces kept in not ideal conditions 🤷‍♂️ It's strange how that can happen though as I've had a gen Oris do that with no moisture in the watch, had the dial replaced and it happened again although very minimally.

As for subdial spacing I could totally live with it. I'm not that picky and 1 or 2mm I don't changes the whole look of the watch to not be able to enjoy it. It might even be better. Less scrunched. I'm liking this black dial and also the green version. The moon picture could look like camo which could work but not srue about the one with the picture of Saturn printed on the dial. Full black/blackout would be cool too.

I tried the Gen Speedy moonshine gold last week at my AD, with black rubber strap and folding clasp. This watch is fantastic in personal and now on my wish list on second place.
First place is still the new FOIS, but for next year the Speedy Moonshine gold is the goal.
Until this time I ordered the rep with gold dial and rubber strap. The problem is, that the Gen has rubber strap with folding clasp, the rep rubber strap with buckle. So I ordered the folding clasp as single spare part too. Will buy a gen rubber strap.
Compared my black gen speedy Moonwatch to my rep snoopy the wrong subdial spacing isn't that issue on this watch. The difference is very small and so no problem for me.

Definitely some oxidation on the hands, as well on the backside of the bracelet which to me is kind odd, all visible sections of the watch when on the wrist look great. Overall quality of hands seems to be lacking as well... (okay to the naked eye from 6-12 inches away).
The bracelet on this model is also subpar (pretty sharp). I've become very fond of CF Daytona's, so I was somewhat expecting this slight disappointment.
Overall, it is pretty decent, I don't know that I'll hold on to this one though, need to make room for another Daytona :ROFLMAO:
For $408 I'm not complaining.
The Speedmaster is also considerably more chunky feeling on the wrist in comparison to the Daytona which I dislike as well.
You guys will probably be seeing this in the M2M section soon lol
