RIPPED OFF by jtime

Here is my experience:

I ordered a Rolex Explorer II GMT from jtime. The quality photos and video of the watch running looked great.

The watch arrived and looked great, but was very hard to wind.

It started so running and I took the stickers off and wore the watch. The watch stopped running after less than 5 minutes.

The watch won't run for more than 1-2 minutes.

I reached out to Li at jtime, and he refused to send me a watch that works or refund my money and instead wants me to pay to ship this watch back to China.

Li has already taken almost $500 from me for this watch and I don't want to get suckered into paying even more money to ship it around the world and get ripped off.

Can anyone help?? Please??????

Which part of you get ripped off? All I see is normal practice. Watches DoA are not news, it happens all the time. And if you want to send it back to China for repair which people here strongly not suggest to do so, the postage is on your own. What is the problem?

On another hand, if you read the buying guide here, you won't jump up and down right now.

Do I feel sorry that your rep is not working? Yes. But then your thread title level that.

Did you wind the watch 30 times to make sure it has full power?.

As mentioned above it sometimes happens and you should find a watchmaker to take a look at it to find out exactly what is wrong. Ask Li if he might give you someone to contact in your area instead of sending it back to China.

It's always nice to see a new member of 30 minutes post their first message and all they do is bash a TD. Also if you are looking for any help from the moderators you are out of luck. They can't help and you would know this if you have read the rules that are written here.

Sorry that you are having trouble with your watch but it will have to be taken care of between you and Jtime.

I wonder why our TDs only ever „scam“ new users. I recognise a pattern.

Thats why you should not pull of the plastics mate - then TDs can (and will) change watches with factorys. Next time you will know.

Not a big deal. DOA watches happen and it’s the risk of being in the game. Send it to a trusted watchmaker and spend a few bucks to get it working.

Happened to me too. 2 wheels have Stuck. No big deal. The watchmaker charged me 30 Euro. Remember the watch had a long journay and the packages are not treated well. It's nothing you can blame a TD for.

Not necessary, sometimes it is just too dirty inside the movement, a full service can do the job in most cases.

It seems like this happens all the time to new members. Post a few pics. Let’s see what it looks like. Maybe there’s something that sticks out
