Reviews & Opinions of Link Calibre 16 & the older previous models

I'm in the market for a Link Chrono, either the newer Calibre 16 or the older ones which are nearly identical apart from some smaller differences. It's not so easy to find reviews and topics around here on these watches due to "Link" being a pretty common word... And links to reviews I've found in sticky topics and others no longer exist. Anyone have impressions on these watches?

Calibre 16:

And these older pre-minor facelift/refinement ones like this Ayrton Senna edition:

I first wanted that Ayrton Senna edition back in 2007 but then got a gen Omega and forgot about reps for a while... Would love to get that (I'm a huge Senna fan) if they are still available. Still waiting on Puretime to see if they are in stock. Josh from PC says they're out of production, but I see Puretime doesn't have them listed out of stock and they seem to be pretty good at changing that when watches do go out, but we'll see.

If I can't get that, the Calibre 16 looks really refined and beautiful. From the little I found when I searched, it seemed the older model was quite an accurate rep. Seems the newer style is too, which is nice. Would love to get some impressions and pics if anyone here has or has had one.

I don't have a Tag Link rep yet. The pictures I posted are from one of the TDs here, Puretime. And the review I linked in my 2nd post is someone's else's from RWG.

I did purchase the Senna edition just today from Puretime (waiting to make WU payment), so we'll see how that goes. If you're interested in the watch, you can click the links above and purchase them off Puretime. Another TD here, http://intime.co has that newer 16 Calibre model for $20 cheaper ($338 USD) if you like that one.

Nice. I also ordered my own a few days ago, still waiting on QC pics. Puretime billing told me the Senna edition wasn't in stock before I was about to pay (I didn't think it would be but their site said it was and I was first told it was in stock when I asked), so I went with the newer model. I'll also post my impressions here or in a new thread. Your impressions and pics are very welcome as well in the meantime. :)

I actually have purchased the older version with Sapphire Glass from my very trusted Tag dealer.

The Sample pics he sent look great.

I also purchased a white and a black dial 1969 Tag Chrono as per design below

Stunning. I've been looking at a bunch of Carreras lately as well and I might have to pick up one in addition to my Link. The Calibre 1887 stands out to me as well, especially the blue dial version.

Hi
Did PT have this in stock?
My wife is a fan of the link models (she has an older boys version) and wants a new one
I can't bring myself to spend $$$$ on a gen tag lol

I ended up going with InTime since I was already ordering 2 watches with them. This is the one:

There's also a white model, if you just search "Link Chrono" you can find it. I'd imagine PT also has the black one in stock either way since I assume they get them from the same place. But anyway I'll probably write a review of my Link tomorrow. Fantastic watch.
