Being a bit of a gadget guy, I have a modest collection of Every Day Carry (EDC) items such as compact flashlights and knives along with my watches. When I first saw the Wenger Minathor Swiss Army Knife a few years ago, I knew I would eventually acquire one. Well that time has come. My X-mas stocking was stuffed with a Wenger Minathor 50 Evolution. I must say that the Bergeon system is as impressive as useful. Don't get me wrong, we all have the typical set of watch tinkering hardware such as screwdrivers, spring bar tools, case openers, case presses, etc... so a pocket gadget that contains most of these tools may be the last thing on our "need" list. But I have to tell you guys/gals, this thing is handy. Most tools I need are packaged in a convenient Swiss Army Knife to store in a kitchen hutch drawer for quick availability or to toss into my luggage when traveling.

The "ADDED VALUE AT NO MARKUP" along with the Evolution model availability is the reason I ordered from Timedesign in Germany. Otto Frei has the standard Minathor available for $112 with the standard tools. Tooldesign offered many more models including the EVolution and 4 extra tools for 99 Euros ($126 current exchange rate). I thought I'd post this review since I found no mention in the forum about the Wenger/Bergeon Minathor Swiss Army Knife. This thing rocks! Cheers!

Nice, I am a sucker for knives as well as watches - this seems to be double trouble for me here.

That could be pretty handy. I love the Swiss Army knives, they are the perfect knives, they do tons of things and none of them well! LOL! When I was in Zurich the only thing I bought was a Victornox Swiss Champ.

I agree with the Swiss Army Knives "do tons of things and none of them well" assessment, but the Bergeon tools on the Minathor are top notch. I find this Wenger/Bergeon collaboration is a winner! :D
