Dear friends,

Today I was lucky to receive (yet another) replica watch: The Omega Aqua Terra 38.5mm Co-Axial from JH factory, fitted with an A2824 movement, a stainless steel bracelet and a black "Teak-Concept" dial.

This watch was released about 10 months ago, but has received moderate resonance from our beloved community. Although I opened a thread upon its release (https://forum.replica-watch.info/th...2824-our-preachers-have-been-answered.333647/), this particular Aqua Terra was getting forgotton.

However, while watching countless videos from WatchUWant (Hi, I'm Tim, welcome to WatchUwant and thanks for logging on!), I was so curious about this 38.5mm version - knowing that 41.5 is too large for my slender 6 inch wrists - that I finally pulled the trigger.
And wow it was a good choice !

Behold, the Aqua Terra:

The watch even comes with a nice OMEGA-JH hang tag!

Note the beautiful lug shape and the correctly positioned crown. Purely Omega.

The bevels are crisp and flawless, exactly as you would expect!

The bracelet features a twin-trigger double deployant that only opens upon positive release.

The bracelet feels *very* solid (almost uncomfortably heavy) and has the correct double-screw-and-pin connections - they make you feel as if you were a rocket engineer.

The dial is really difficult to capture correctly. Mostly it appears darker than in the pictures.

The movement is nicely finished, but beats the Miyota in being an ETA-clone --> no wobble, no noise. Note the black balance wheel.

Reviewing these pictures I musst point out that they don't do the watch any justice. On the wrist it really shines.

Thank you very much for viewing - if you enjoyed it, feel free to leave a like!

Man, that looks gorgeous!!! I might have to add this to my collection. What is the lug width? 20mm?

I just measured it with calipers. The watch is:

38.5mm in diameter,
48.5mm from lug to lug,
13.5mm in height (it has a domed sapphire) and
19mm lug width.

IIRC the exterior measurements are as per gen.

Congrats on a very nice watch! Welcome to the club! Looks really sharp in black! :clap_1::clap_1:

You are only missing one thing. A proper wrist shot of the watch...

I love the look of the Aqua Terra so much that I just had to get the gen... My blue one says hi :smile:

Nice to see another fella here with a gen blue AT! That is a gen right?

I was at a crossroads when choosing my AT. It was either the one like yours with the frame date window and brushed bracelet or the frameless one of the Master AT with the PCL. Ended up with the Master evidently. The anti-magnetic properties of it just drew me towards it...lol.. I've grown to like the cleaner date window and PCL's, but i do see myself wiping prints/smudges off the pcl's occasionally..haha.. But it does go well with the polished bezel.

Congratz van,

Mine just leave china today... the blue one.

I wasn't sure about the color of balance wheel on my QC pic (and even on your pics) can you confirm, it is black, or a dark grey color ?

Cheers.

Grats in pulling the trigger! It's worth it!

The balance wheel on mine tends to be more on the black side. I think the shade is true to gen, but it is not as matte, thus appearing a little darker.

Amazing watch.
I am looking to buy an 38.5mm Aqua Terra, but the models in Puretime and others TD has an ugly date font.
Can you please post a photo showing your date window, because from what I saw, your date font is very more beautiful than the models available that I found.
Thanks.
Ooh, and what are um thinking about the watch after some months of use?

Looks awesome the only thing I dislike is the 19mm lug width, I have a bunch of 20mm straps and 22mm straps but no 19 mm straps:(

Is there any AR on the glass? Looks a little bit too reflective. And no blue hue.

@Dumorgao
The date font is very good on mine. Currently don't have it at hand, but it is crisp and bold. Date alignment can be an issue, be sure to check QC on the 2-digit dates as well as 1st-9th.
The watch is very solid and the Eta runs reliable and smooth. I am very pleased of the build quality and think it's on par (even better) with the V6 Spectre.

@optimums48
At first, 19mm lug width was an issue for me, as I do have quite an assortement of straps in both 18 and 20mm. Quite a few 20mm straps could be fitted between the too narrow lugs without creasing etc.
Personally, I don't like the look of the AT on a leather strap. It wears rather big and the strap looks a little lost on the wide lugs. Just like a six digit Sub on leather, which I dislike, too. Just my 5cts.

@carpetmonster
I think it's atleast single AR'd from the inside. No blue hue on the outside. Glare is not too strong due to the domed shape, reflections tend to be stronger indoors than in direct sunlight, which seems a little counterintuitive.

@carpetmonster I'm currently on vacation, so I can't measure it, however I think the dial will need to have it's feet taken off in order to fit the 2824

I'm with vanwolff and observe exactly the same effect. I conclude by my observation that it doesn't have a double AR coating, impossible, if it's the case, it is very poor and the weak point of this rep. And if I compare side by side my Gen Speedy Moon Sandwich version that is a single inside coating, I observe the same performance, and I'm not particularly blow away by the AR of the moon watch sapphire version... so single inside AR on AT mid is totally possible, but certainly not double side. Anyway, I prefer more reflection instead of scratches on AR.

Fell in love with your review of this watch, and it's inspired me to try and buy my own!
It'll be my first rep purchase, but if you don't mind me asking, which TD did you purchase this from?
