1.INTRODUCTION:
I am a member, for some time now, and i feel, apart from saying my humble opinion to fellow members, or giving little help to some questions plus a small review of Lange Datograph, that i ''had'' to give something back to the community.
Meaning, not much, just something small that will help other members to make their selection faster, and form an opinion easier the way the experts reviews helped and continue to help me.
As i found that reviews really delight each one's point of view, i chose to review something that has gone a little bit ''under the radar''.
The cartier LOVE BRACELET:
I could not find enough information about the quality and appearance of each version and i could not deside whether the ''ultimate'' quality bracelet was worth the money.
So i decided to buy a selection and judge for myself.
I would like now to offer some knowledge here, so that any member who wishes to buy one, has some handy facts, on whether the good quality is substantially better and worth the money than the standard one.
2. The OBJECTS:
Normal Quality
Price 40-50 usd
Trusted Vendor: Sora
Description: One Stainless Steel (slightly better quality 50 usd) and one Rose Gold 40 usd.
Total Cost: 90 usd
Available sizes : circumference 16cm, 18cm, 20cm (actually 19cm)
Sizes bought: SS in 19cm and Rose Gold in 18cm
High Quality
Price 100 usd
Dealer (from RWG) Ken http://replicaplaza.net -NOT a trusted dealer here-
Description: One Stainless Steel and one Rose Gold
Total Cost: 200 usd
Available sizes : the inside diameter is 18cm for Mens and 16cm for women
Sizes bought: SS in 18cm and Rose Gold in 18cm
3. The packaging
Both came in a red cartier box with their screwdriver.
+1 for Sora. His came also in a cartier red bag, and with a cartier ''warranty card''
4. The appearance.
Both look sharp and shiny. (same level of shine).
In Sora's version (normal quality), the decorative screws are different size from Ken's (bigger), BUT only in the Rose Gold bracelet.
Sora's SS bracelet has same size decorative screws, with Ken's (Rose Gold and SS)
Also another small detail.
Ken's SS bracelet comes with SS screwdriver, and Rose gold with a rose Gold screwdriver.
Sora's SS bracelet and Rose gold, come both with an SS Bracelet.
5. The Quality
I find the quality of both versions 90% equally superb.
Nice refined pieces of jeweller, well shined, well-constructed to every detail.
The functional screws that are used to place the bracelet on wrist are two (one on each side) and are working Perfectly smoothly and screw-in butter-like.
The engravings inside ARE DIFFERENT, but are equally nice and look very refined, due to the fact that are well engraved with smooth and equally intensive fonts.(Not sure which font type is GEN-like though)
6. The Pictures description.
In the comparison pics i want you to keep in mind that i wear Ken's (ultimate) bracelet for 10 days, whereas i haven't wore Sora'a bracelet yet.
I mention this only, to know the level of usage that appears on them.
One is slightly worn, the other is out of the box.
Keep i mind that these bracelets take inevitably a heavy beating as they desk dive all the time like all cuffs. They are not like watch's bracelets,that have links and flexibility. These are inflexible pieces of shined metal that get scratched easily.
Also keep in mind that the Gen comes only in
White, Rose and Yellow Gold. NO SS Gen version.
I will post Sora's QC pics, as Ken does not send any QC pics, but is well-known for the quality of the products he sends.
Following up, i will post pictures from my iPhone, probably immature and sloppy, but guys i honestly had zero time.
I m sorry for my pics, and i promise, if any member requests and wishes any special pics, of the bracelets in the thread, to make one or two for him.
7. The Verdict:
I would say that these two versions have 10% difference the MAX.
Both are equally good, with Ken's quality slightly better. (max. 10%)
If i knew, i would stick to Sora, because for 10% better quality you pay the double price.
I cannot advise you to buy the normal quality, because i prefer the ultimate quality.
But for 50% less money, you get 90% of the juice. Think about it.
Note:
Ken mentioned that he had a ''lower quality version'' offered (at 50usd), that he removed from his site, because the quality sucked.
Not sure
a.if it really sucked,
b. if it was the same like Sora's version, or
c. whether he just wanted to sell the expensive version
Sora, on the other hand knew nothing about the better version.
Most TD Sites, sell the most expensive version around 100 usd.
