It appears to me that the newest addition to my watch box has caused a bit of a stir recently, and an overwhelmingly positive response from you guys, so...by popular demand...the review. From start to finish.
THE ORDERING PROCESS:
This is the part I've gotten asked most about, and it's the simplest part thus far. I sent an email to Ryan at intime with a picture of the rep I found on Instagram and I asked him if he could source it. Less than a week later, I had approved QC and my watch was on its way.
4 days later, it arrives at my door. Now onto the review!
THE WATCH:
The watch itself is a pure stunner on the wrist, while not the most accurate to gen, I still take great pride in it. The fit and finish on everything is great! It sits very comfortably and is very light on the wrist, which are both features present on the gen! The RG plating positively glistens in the light. Also, the brushed/polished contrast on the case and buckle is a gorgeous detail that can only be seen in person to truly appreciate.
To give you an idea of the RG shade, here it is next to my RGRC
RELIABILITY:
Since I've only owned this watch for about a week, I can't comment on this yet, but I will say it's a very basic watch with a simple looking movement (I believe it's a 21j but I wouldn't know how to tell without taking it apart), nothing on the watch feels like it will fail or break on me anytime soon. Crown winds and pulls out smoothly, date changes smoothly, no complaints about the guts of this piece whatsoever.
WEARABILITY:
This watch literally looks great with anything. I'm sitting here in basketball shorts, a tank top, some sandals and it still looks great! (It's hot out in SoCal so don't judge lol) but don't just take my word for it. I'll show you! Since it's pretty low-profile (slightly thinner than all of our AP's) it sits under a shirt cuff or jacket sleeve without much of a problem. I still wear it out though but that's just me [emoji6]
(And yes, I actually went inside and changed just to take that picture. Is that worth rep points? lol)
THINGS THAT ARE NOT SO GOOD:
Yes, there's something. It's not very major though. It's in dire need of some AR treatment, it literally reflects EVERYTHING, so this will be going out to prof once I receive my Schumi. I'm glad there's not much sunlight in my backyard so I can take some decent photos, but as you can see it still reflects at most angles.
But enough about that, time for some GLAMOUR SHOTS
If there's anything I'm forgetting or something you guys would like to see/know, just let me know and I'll be more than glad to help. Hope you enjoyed the review!
