Review of the new ARF 16610 (vs BP)

Hi Folks.

Today i want to share some side by side pictures of a new ARF 16610 vs BP 16610.

Unfortunately i didn’t have a JF 16610 at hand to do the comparison.
Because of this, be aware that BP has some slight differences in their case design.

However,
As you may know the mayor change when the 5 digit production switch from JF to ARF is about the change from 316L to 904L in Material.

Therefore since ARF took over they seem to make use of the same dials, hands, insert and movement (SH) from JF.

With one single thing, which is about the clasp engravings on ARF.
These show CL10 and 93253 while JF used E06 and 93250.

Beside this, i would say ARF does a minimal better job on the case dimensions than JF.

the difference of 904 to 316 is hard to tell on pics, but i tried to do my very best to spot it somehow.

I’m a little puzzled as the new ARF models don’t have rehaut engravings but yours does. Are you sure this is the latest and not a mish mash of JF/ARF bits in a prerelease state.

They are available with & without Rehaut.
No need to be puzzled..

In terms of prerelease you might be right... who knows... i didn’t

Interesting but I do know for a fact that this has not released yet in its market ready form so not sure about yours. Strange that no dealer is advertising an engraved version. The plot thickens but thanks for the review!
Sel fit does not appear that good though from your pics.

Thanks for the photo review HootschiGootschi. It looks like the ARF case has pronounced lug chamfers - which looks like a change from the JF case which was pretty sharp edged (or at least, the chamfers were minimal).

I just started a 16613 project, and wonder if this new ARF release could be used as a base watch - given it is so hard to find a JF nowadays.

My friend, just trying to help that you received what you paid for and we’re told is an ARF 904L.

-No ARF with rehaut engravings are expected.
-Wrong clasp.
-No one has even received QC pics, yet you had already received one?

There is something wrong with your ARF, the rehaut is incredibly deep and wrongly angled, i'm afraid that someone sent you something passing it as ARF

I have been reliably informed that the ARF is not yet available - I have had one on back order since the day it was announced.

Sadly, I think you have been duped. Was the "TD" you bought from on the approved list?
