Just received the 7753 187. This is one which a number of us have been eagerly awaiting. I will start by saying the dealer on this one provided fabulous communication per usual. I felt the price was reasonable given the 7753 movement (which it is) and they had the item on my doorstep in less than a week.
HOWEVER:
The watch does have issues both aesthetically and functionally. For comparison purposes I am superimposing my original 7750 Watchonpo versus the new 7753 and finally adding the gen at the end of each comparison. I never owned the $250 subsequent Asian 7750 version so I couldn't include that. I suspect you can guess what is what. And yes, I know the crown guard is on backwards on the Honpo.

Comparison of side view - valve side:
The gen:
Unfortunately with the difference in the bezel's height and caseback depth it ends up not being close to 1:1 case size. The dealer did not say it was. I am just warning people so there are no surprises.
Crown guard, Pushers and caseback
The gen:
The movement is as advertised - it is absolutelya 7753. Bezel however has flimsy 60 click movement reminiscent of the Asian 21j subs. The Honpo and Gen both clank around like tanks.
The purpose of my post is not to rag on the dealer. Pictures were accurate and there is nothing wrong in the description. The pictures even show and I didn't notice (because it would never occur to me) that it has screw heads on both sides of the strap bars. What is that?
I have had many happy transactions with the dealer and will continue doing business with them. The purpose of this thread is to review the watch so that no one is disappointed. I know too many people like me who have been lusting for this version for a long time.
