"Review of New 51mm Oris ProDiver Chronograph Rep"

I was lucky enough to purchase one of the initial reps of the new Oris ProDiver Chronograph 51mm that Mary at Watch International was recently able to source.

As always Mary's honesty, communications and quick shipping worked like a Swiss watch (gen)...

This is the quartz version of the ProDiver and it comes on a SS bracelet that is large enough to fit most anyone's wrist.

For $153 + shipping I am impressed; the fit, finish and overall look is quality. Is it an ultimate model of a rep? No, but to me it's worth much more then the amount charged.

As mentioned it is a quartz movement and the chronograph works as it should and resets cleanly and accurately back to zero.

It is a large rep at 51mm and also sits quite tall on the wrist. Personally I think I'll be able to pull it off on my 7.5" wrist. Considering it's modeled after a professional diver's watch in my mind it's expected to look large. On the other hand my 50mm U-Boat/Parnis is one that I can't pull off. Why I don't know, I guess it's the shape/design.

Of course this is a preliminary review considering I haven't had the chance to size and wear the rep yet.

Below are some quick photos I took, sorry about the quality. I've also compared the watch to a Rolex DSSD and 50mm U-Boat/Parnis.

PS: Thank you Mary for finding this rep for me, I knew you could do it; I'm very pleased.

Anyone interested in this rep should contact Mary at: [email protected]

Edit: I just received an email from Mary and she has just received 10 pieces of this hard to find rep. (5 with white lume markers and 5 with orange lume markers).

No less use it as an offensive/defensive weapon.
We'll call it 51mm of SS knuckles, lol.

What the...!!! This thing is a beast!! What size is it from Lug to Lug? Also did they test the watch for water resistance? If so care to take the CHALLENGE? This thing should be able to go anywhere...

Lug to Lug is 59mm

Height is 22mm

I doubt if it's WR considering it's a chrono and $153.

Dangit!!!! 55mm is max for me... 57mm is stretching it for me... and 59mm is just ridiculous. Sad to hear regarding Water Resistance... This monster should be able to go anywhere!!!

I doubt if it's WR considering it's a chrono and $153.

I am waiting for mine to come in and will get it tested for WR
Since I didnt get it from Mary (I dont know if I am getting the Big Boy or the 44/47mm mash-up) Really dont care because I want BOTH!!
I had two Carlos Costes, one was WR the other was terrible until I greased the seals! The CC looks like is too much watch for anybody but it wears nicely

Balad..Hows bumping into things with this one?

About a month ago I asked Mary to search for this rep and of course she found it. A few other dealers have recently added it to their websites but Mary has them in hand which as we know is all that counts.

As far as bumping into things I don't know. I just received the rep and was in a hurry to put the review up. I can guess at 22mm depth it might be an issue.

It's one cool look'n SOB though, lol.

Here are a couple of photos taken after having resized the bracelet a few minutes ago (7.5" wrist).

It is a BEAUTIFUL behemoth Balad1. I did think to say that in my previous post and I am humbly offering that opinion now. Wonder if they make one that isn't a chronograph?
