"Review of New 51mm Oris ProDiver Chronograph Rep"
I was lucky enough to purchase one of the initial reps of the new Oris ProDiver Chronograph 51mm that Mary at Watch International was recently able to source.
As always Mary's honesty, communications and quick shipping worked like a Swiss watch (gen)...
This is the quartz version of the ProDiver and it comes on a SS bracelet that is large enough to fit most anyone's wrist.
For $153 + shipping I am impressed; the fit, finish and overall look is quality. Is it an ultimate model of a rep? No, but to me it's worth much more then the amount charged.
As mentioned it is a quartz movement and the chronograph works as it should and resets cleanly and accurately back to zero.
It is a large rep at 51mm and also sits quite tall on the wrist. Personally I think I'll be able to pull it off on my 7.5" wrist. Considering it's modeled after a professional diver's watch in my mind it's expected to look large. On the other hand my 50mm U-Boat/Parnis is one that I can't pull off. Why I don't know, I guess it's the shape/design.
Of course this is a preliminary review considering I haven't had the chance to size and wear the rep yet.
Below are some quick photos I took, sorry about the quality. I've also compared the watch to a Rolex DSSD and 50mm U-Boat/Parnis.
PS: Thank you Mary for finding this rep for me, I knew you could do it; I'm very pleased.
Anyone interested in this rep should contact Mary at: [email protected]
Edit: I just received an email from Mary and she has just received 10 pieces of this hard to find rep. (5 with white lume markers and 5 with orange lume markers).
Lume shots, initial, 1 minute, 2 minutes and 3 minutes
