Review of my 1st AP Royal Oak 15510 from Trusty Time

I purchased my first AP Royal Oak from Trusty Time over a month ago. I’ve purchased many watches from Andrew over the years since 2016, but never an AP. My watch collection is slow growing, and I was eyeing this AP Royal Oak 15510 for several months, weighing the pros and cons between this rep and a few other contenders. When I finally pulled the trigger on this watch, my expectations were primed to be very high. And in usual fashion, Andrew did not disappoint. Right off the bat the first watch hit all the QC marks for me and I GL.

Despite some shipping delays that are beyond anyone’s control, I received the watch over the weekend in perfect condition. To truly get a good feel for it, I have been wearing this watch nonstop everyday as my inaugural AP piece.


The verdict: the dial is gorgeous, it posses so much character and depth. The bracelet is immaculate, I don’t know how they put the bracelet together, but all of the brushing and lines are perfect, and not a single scratch from all my desk diving (yet). The movement is beautifully crafted, so bright and shiny, it’s a pleasure just looking at it and seeing the rotor spin so easily. I’ve heard people make mention of the rotor noise, but it doesn’t make a noise to me, or just doesn’t bother me. The accuracy is perfection, I’ve never owned a watch that has kept so good time, not even losing a whole minute since I first set the time over the weekend.

Though the watch is heavier than what I usually wear, it is a magnificent watch overall and I could not be happier. My sincere thanks to Andrew and his team for helping me to acquire this beautiful time piece. I highly recommend anyone looking to make their first rep purchase to consider giving Trusty Time a shot.
