A few months ago I had a 318 from the H factory, loved that watch, but it got stolen pretty much at the same time they went OUT OF STOCK.
Luckily Sead was selling 2 he still had, I jump on the deal, got my new one and within a month the Noob factory came with his own 318....
I never knew if my new 318 was one of the last H or one of the first Noob...
Today as I visited 2 sale thread, one for an H and the other for a Noob I checked the caseback and went to compare with mine...
Here's a pic of my H:
Here's a pic of the H sold by CharlieUK:
They're perfectly identical except for the serial number.
Very easy to identify a H factory Caseback.
Now let's see the Noob factory's caseback:
Here's a pic of a Noob from another of CharlieUK's sale thread (he's the one selling both watch):
It looks very different from the H factory, looks like there're more details, everything looks cleanner.
Here's a picture of my lattest Sead's 318:
Even if we seem to be in the same quality of engraving, it's a different caseback.
Have you noticed the differences, let's point out some of them for you:
1- Engraved triangle on Sead, not on the Noob
2- Continuous line on noob, not on Sead
3- 'Bar graph' looking bridge pile on Noob, crossed line looking on Sead
4- 2 vertical lines on Sead, only one on Noob
5- Square windows and triangle in lower right corner of building on Sead, window drawed as vertical line and triangle looking to belong to next building on Noob
6- Horizontal line on Noob, not on Sead.
There're much more.
To finish this review a pic of a gen:
1, 3, 4 & 5 are same as Sead
2 & 6 are same as Noob
So at the end I still do not know what model mine is, but it seems to be the closet to the gen. Even if the H caseback seem to be a little less close to the gen, for having owned one, I can say that, that caseback was beautifully made at a pleasure to be looking at.
One thing for sure is that there's at least 3 differents 318 rep caseback.
What would be interresting is that any owner of a 318 post a pic of it's caseback.
