Hey All,
I don't post here, but some of you may recognize me from repgeek, where I am a frequent poster. Trevor requested that I post this review here because I was the first one to order sneakers from him. If this is not posted in the correct forum please feel free to move it. I will try and check back here and answer any and all questions you may have but am more frequently posting at repgeek so that may be an easier place to get a hold of me.
Price Breakdown:
Sneakers: 60.00
Belt: 40.00
Keychain: 10.00
EMS and PP charges:38.00
-------------------------
Total: 148.00
So first things first I suppose,
The Shoes:
So I dont know how much I really was expecting from these shoes. For 60 bucks I thought it was worth a shot to see what I would get. Well I was presently suprised. They came in a Louis Vuitton Box and in LV Dusters, also came with care booklet AND an extra set of laces, but not with the authenticity swipe card.
You can see a duster here:
The only real comment I have on the dusters (can't say much because I wasn't expecting them) is that they are pretty scratchy canvas material, and the real ones are made out of very soft cotton. A small issue considering that no one is going to see the dusters and they are going to keep your shoes clean no matter what they are made of.
So on to the actual SHOES. Overall I am impressed with the quality especially considering the price. I buy designer sneakers pretty frequently and tend to rip through them. The canvas print is very well done, seems like good material. Here are a few general shots:
In General:
The bulid seems good, there were a few stray threads and such in the stiching, which would have been snipped had they been authentic, but nothing you couldn't take care of with 5 minutes and shears, and I find that this happens after a week or so of wear and tear anyways. There was a little bit of extra glue around where the sole was joined with the shoe but it was easy to pull off.
The Emblems:
The emblems on the shoes, arguably the most important thing when comparing replica to genuine other than the printed material look, really good. Again a stray thread or so, but would be easy to take care of.
The tounge emblem, looks great but came with a layer of plastic that was stiched in for some reason instead of over the top. I believe this is probably because the emblems are produced before the shoes, possibly by a different maker and are then sold to put on bags and shoes. Here is a quick shot:
The Sole:
The only problem with the sole was the shitty LV stamp on the bottom. Not as nice as it could have been, but again, noone really sees the sole.
The Belt:
The authentic Louis Vuitton belts are actually made out of some pretty iffy leather, and this one looks exactly the same. Good quality overall and even though trevor mistakenly sent me a larger size than I needed, because of the style of the belt I was able to rectify the situation pretty easily with some shears. The buckle looks great and well machined, very true to genuine. The holes didn't have any spare material, like some replica belts I have seen, and looked to be machined well. The only little gripe I had about the belt was the stamp on the inside of the buckle was skewed a little bit. Again, not something that anyone is going to see. Be advised that trevors belt sizing does NOT include the buckle. Here are some shots of the belt:

Bvlgari Keychain:
What can I say, it's a keychain. Looks like it did in the pictures. Came in the Bvlgari box, with the correct markings ect. The only thing that bothered me about the keychain was a bit of plastic stuck between the ring and the fixture that attaches to the strap. No complaints for 10 bucks.

Ring Close-up:
Well I think I got carried away and I'm not sure that anyone cares, but hopefully this helps anyone looking for this gear from Trevor. Overall I am very happy with my purchase, his communication and the delivery time (just over a week and a half from order to delivery).
