Rescuing the New Panerai fan-boy?

I was sight-seeing this forum, unfortunately I am now (perhaps) fell in love with Panerai watches.
I am planning to purchase a Panerai watch with date, and I am aware that the most recommended place to purchase the particular article was from puretime?

I am just wondering with the various and huge range of watches that Panerai has to offer, which one would be best in terms of build and longevity?
The title was a bit tacky, but I hope it will catch attention

Before you get destroyed by other members of the forum, do some research. This forum has a wealth of information including trusted dealers as well as brand sections un which different models are discussed at great lengths. No one will do the work for you.

In terms of reliability the hand wind 6497 based PAMs will run forever and are easy to source parts.

if you want a more reliable movement with a date look at the PAM 029 from noob. It's a super rep and has the more reliable 2836-2 movement.

Most other PAMs with a date are A7750 based.
