Hi All.

Apologies if this seems a really random question - does anyone know where the shops in turkey get their watches from?
im guessing its from china etc but how?
Ive recently contacted a couple of shops in turkey and their rep endurance pros look great - black date wheel, thin and light etc.
I bought a AAA endurance pro from a chinese seller once before and it was clumpy, heavy and had the white date wheel - im informed it was a 1st version.
The turkish watches seem almost spot on for half the price of other similar watches from TD's. I admit that the watches from turkey may not be OF but for half the price, id be happy. Ive tried looking on dhgate, voghion and saramart etc but cannot find the same versions. All ive found on these websites are the white date wheels (V1 instead of V2).
I own a genuine endurance pro 70.3 and have found breitling to be absolute dog 💩their customer service is apalling and the watch quality is disgusting. My £20 odd rep 70.3 has way outlasted the Gen and my rep has been battered at work. The Gen failed on the seal by the bezel after only a few hours of wearing it indoors and to the breitling shop. So i'll never buy another genuine breitling, but i love the look of the blue and orange endurance pro's plus 2 of the navitimer B01's - theyre close enough for me but wondered if anyone had any good reviews/trusted sellers of anyone selling these ones on dhgate for example.

Cheers for any info you can provide

I reckon @TESLA760 and @C Master have the necessary Breitling knowledge to answer your question.
I guess if they are cheap (how cheap?) and they're good enough for you, then go for it. However, I would entertain the idea of buying one of the cheap turkish ones only if I could see them in real life and make sure they're what you expect.
For "half the price" of a comparable chinese rep I would expect inferior build quality and a very cheap quartz movement, maybe even without chrono functions.
But let the experts chime in, I'm no Breitling expert nor fan.

Was in the mid - 90's when I bought my last rep from the Turks but still looks the same for me.
Let me say it like this :
You can buy a Bic - lighter and throw it away when empty (ore go to Cuba with it, they refill 😄) ore you can buy a Zippo and have a lighter for life - time ...

Cheers for the info. I am looking to buy them from china (i.e dhgate, saramart/hacoo etc) as i guess the turks are getting them from china too and putting their cut on top. I was wondering if anyone has bought the more genuine looking version like the turkish ones which i believe are V2 with black date wheel etc from a reputable place or seller in china that they can vouch for. I appreciate TDs on here have OF quality for about £350 and turkish seller watches are about £180 - dhgate have plenty of sellers showing pictures of the V2 watches but ive seen reviews saying people have received the V1 watch and been charged V2 money.
The picture of the red one is a gentleman on facebook who has received a turkish watch and all looks good.

In 2013 i bought a turkish automatic chronomat watch for £30 whilat there on holiday - its still going strong today although the leather strap is a bit worn. Quality is amazing for the actual watch and the mechanism according to my local watch repairer is top notch too, but appreciate times may have changed in the past 11/12 years.

Not addressing your question about the specific watch but about watches in Turkey in general. Yes, you get all of them there from the cheapies to the top models. But expect to pay more, sometimes way more, than when ordering from China. That is not necessarily a rip-off, it is just added costs because shops in Turkey have to pay rent for their shop (often in expensive tourist areas) and sales personnel.

But I'd say if you find one that meets your expectations in quality and price, go for it.

The Endurance models posted are definitely DHGate level lower end versions. The Navitimer doesn't look much better, but better pics would help. It all depends on how much you're looking to spend.

My personal opinion: I wouldn't buy a rep from Turkey online. Never.

Like @Feefo said, only in person with the surety of actually getting what I'm looking at...

And to haggle. 😆

If you don't even try to get a discount, any proud, decent & sane Turkish person will think you're the biggest sucker that was born just yesterday. 😂

From personal experience you get a big discount if you are friendly and not snooty. Even more if you speak some Turkish and have a nice chat over a Turkish tea.

And every time I feel too bad to haggle because the item seems way too cheep already, I get some small present. Resistance is futile. Not with watches of course but with almost every other item.

Of course, politeness is key, everywhere but especially in countries in the Southern hemisphere. If you are disrespectful, impolite and rude, they will still be friendly because you are a customer, but don't expect any gifts or favors.

Usually, the on-the-fly pricing at Bazaars allows a certain tolerance for negotiations because it is traditionally acceptable and in fact often even expected.

But shops off-bazaar in the mall with price tags on the merchandise are of course a different thing, although a certain room for negotiation is always there, just not 10 to 50%, but 3 to 5% or so should always be possible.

If you feel a price is reasonable (and if it in fact is) though, it's okay to pay the quoted amount. 😉

I believe I have some reps that originate form Turkey in my collection or I could have given them away. Yes you are correct all reps come from China any claim to the contrary is BS. They are buying them wholesale from China and distributing them in Turkey at a mark up.

The Quartz reps you have shown have been available on AliExpress recently for about €20 - €40. I cannot remember exactly but that is about their price. Remember the wholesalers buy these in bulk so they get them a lot cheaper than that.
