Hi there,as I live in Switzerland (south) it was interesting for me to read in the paper that ,a few days ago,in nearby Italy,custom authorities have put their (ugly) hands on a shipment of replica watches worth ca. 1 milion Euro .I was saddened to see the picture in the paper showing the nicest Rolexes and Panerais ,with a grinning officer standing nearby .Now I wonder WHERE all these watches were supposed to go,and my conclusion is that there MUST be shops selling these.Even before,I was asking myself if the only way to buy a rep. was the internet.How much nicer would it be to go to a shop ,view and examine the watches with calm and then choose one .Does anyone know?

If not where were all these watches destined to go?

Interested to have some facts from those in the know.

Of course we know where a lot of these watches ended up, and its not a secure location in some Italian police station.

In Bali there are heaps of Rep Watch Shops. They are set up in proper display cabinets and the quality of the watches are way better than what you buy on the street. Most of the watches use a seiko or citizen movement and you can even get ones with a sweep hand.

I didnt know the factories had been able to duplicate this already.

As a noobie I may just have had the P155 taken out of me there I think But thats what the watch sellers say- They are Seiko movements. A friend of mine has an IWC and a Hermes. Both about 3 years old and both with sweep hands. Still going strong and only cost him about $65 AUD.
