Item 130691553008 is no longer available.
I guess eBay figured that it was a rep.

The guy is really insistent, but as a noob I cant really tell if it is a rep or gen.
What would happen if the buyer find out that its a rep?
I personally would never buy a Rolex from eBay.

I messaged him with more info. He said it was collateral for a loan from a friend for $5000 and his friend defaulted so he wants to recover his money. Of course he knows nothing of watches, so he cant give me any more info other than its in working order. I hate guys that do this BS. Gives rep collectors a bad name, and since I was burned by a scammer before when I was a noob I take it personally.

here is his response to me asking him about authenticity
Dear sawalke4

Its only hearsay but I was told it was a 2008 model. He said he got it for Christmas 2008 and his wife got it at a local mall. I have no way to verify just what the previous owner told me. If I dont get any good bids this time around I will take it to the jewelwer and get the serial number before I relist it.

Dear sawalke4,

I Googled it and you have to take the bracelet off to get the serial number. This watch doesnt have ez access to the pins you would need some kind of special tool to do that. From the pics of old Rolexes they have pins on the outside that you can get to so this is a modern Rolex is all I can tell you.

Its funny how all of these scammers get Rolex's from Estate Sales and as Gifts from Ex'es or as a loan collateral with no paperwork but can never get any other information or never bother to get it authenticated, but can sell it on ebay under the premise "I am by know means a watch guru, so I can't say if its real or fake, all I can say is that i got it from X" but then expect someone to buy it for $5K. If some poor sucker actualy did buy it and found out its a rep, the scammer just thinks he can say "well i told him I didnt know" so hes scotfree and gets to keep the stolen money
