My IWC 3777-09 has returned from another holiday in need of repair
I turned very unwell on the last few days of my most recent holiday. Whilst travelling to the airport, I had chest pains, my wrist swollen up, and my hand felt numb. ( I survived so all is well with myself) Due to the swelling on my wrist, I took off my watch, and placed it in the front pocket of my suitcase. I wasn’t really thinking properly at the time :huh1:
After travelling home and recovering, I found my watch had taken a bit of a beating in the suitcase. The bottom chrono hand had been knocked off, and was floating around inside the glass. There was also another screw lose/snapped inside the movement. It looked similar to the screw that had previously broke off, but at the opposite side of the movement this time. My tiny iPhone screw was still proudly in place from previous repair Movement has also stopped working with the rotor no longer winding the watch. I gave the crown a few turns, and it did work, but didn’t seem to last very long.
I removed the crown, and movement to get the chrono hand out to save it from possibly marking the face. The inserts for the chrono button came out whilst removing the movement, and also the head of a small screw/washer described above.
This job is not for my diy tinkering, and I would ideally like to ask for help from a rep friendly watch repair service recommended on here.
Hoping to get watch movement repaired, chrono hand back on, and maybe the chrono button inserts back in place ( even though I don’t use them ...ever ). I would also like a service, any parts needing replaced and some AR coating/polishing? It has a slight scuff on the Crystal.
Im based near Glasgow, in Scotland. Can anyone recommend someone for the job?
