replacing a PAM382? (green bonze) > PAM961

hi i posted last year about a problem with a fresh new watch. nice 382 for which i've buy a nice custom strap, cost me the equivalent of the watch.. (400€+)

i've found a watchmaker, he opened it. some pieces are broken and he can't replace it (oscillating weight is free will)


i don't know what to do with the watch, but i least now i plan to re-use the strap on a new watch

so now the question : should i buy a new 382 or is there any other PAM that i should consider for this green strap (47)
- there are some nice white luminor, but in 44 only (?) :/
- in 47, so far, i just found the PAM961, black&green.

do you think my green&white strap will go better with this black carbon? or do you have other suggestion? (including other brand, but are there 47 model?)

Me personally, I'd go for another 382, whilst it's still available
Or possibly ask a TD if the movement could be purchased on its?

I would go for a new movement too. It's not expensive and there are some members here who are
specialists on Panerai. Maybe they can help.

Holy shit you spent on that strap. @ziczacleather leatherworks artisan would make that for a lot less but I realise that’s not the question you asked.

As above I’d be going another 382. You can keep what you have as a spare.

I'd probably go for a new watch. It's not that much more expensive and you can still keep your other watch as spare or to sell.

Ask your TD for a p9000 movement from vsf. Or Buy the cheapest available Pam rep from vsf. 312, 359 new or M2M. They all have the p9000 clone inside. Pur the moveme inside the 382… Voila…
