Replacement caseback?

I know a lot of guys pick up watches with the intention of replacing crystals, bezel insets, dials, etc. Fair enough.

How likely is it to find a replacement caseback that'll actually fit. Basically, I'd like to replace the caseback that comes with the watch with a different one (to decrease height).

would it be a needle in a haystack to find a match, virtually impossible, or if I have the measurements would I likely find one to replace.

A caseback for what? RM? Reverso? Joker? 1908 Waltham pocket watch? You’re more likely to get a useful reply to this question by being specific, rather than shrouding the enquiry with an air of mystery. :)

Ahhh. Fair point. Sometimes you don't even know enough to know what to ask (or how to ask it). It's a BP 1675 GMT.

Someone had suggested a caseback from one of those 24hours daytona watches from the Gate, but that won't fit.

I guess my question is, are there vendors for casebacks similar to vendors for crystals, where as long as you have the dimensions you can find a replacement.

Think I had googled "replacement 1675 caseback", that didn't net anything useful.

I appreciate you taking the time. I'll give one of Raffles a whirl and hope it fits. Thanks!

Did this work for you? I am thinking about doing the same.
