Replace SMP crown

I've got an SMP from PT which is a great quality watch. I've realigned the bezel to math the original. The only thing letting it down now is the crown protrutes too much compared to the original.

Is it possible to change the crown and stem for a better one (maybe even OEM)?

Quick question on a seperate note, how do you like the SMP, is the feel and quality good (except the crowns as you mentioned).

The watch is excellent. Very accurate and nice and heavy.

I've had quite a few original owners spot it and not noticed a thing.

The only 2 slighltly negative points are the bezel aligment and the slightly over large crown. Apart from that its one hell of a watch.

I had one of these and it is not the fact of the crown being bigger but the fact that it does not recess into the lugs as far as a genuine one.


I had a mind to remove the crown and tube and reshape the case lugs so the crown would not stand out so much when screwed in tight but sold it before hand.
