Hello, I have a ZF pelagos and there are a couple problems with it now.... I am wondering if there is a way to have it repaired or if it's really not worth fixing this watch let me know. When I rotate the bezel when it gets about 3/4 of the way around it does not click smoothly and is binding, also it has a bit of play in the rotation where it can turn backwards. The second more major seeming problem is that it will stop ticking even though it is on my wrist for a period of time the power reserve is not run out. If i give the watch a little bit of a smack it will start ticking again. It will stop ticking every 30 minutes to an hour.

I know this is a rep and that it is not the same reliability as the gen watch but I was hoping to get a little bit more of a life out of the watch as I've only had it a number of months.

Im not sure if you have worked on watches before. The movement needs to be serviced or be replaced. The bezel, I would take the bezel off and see what's going on, might be an easy fix. Kind of hard to say without doing that. Someone here can do the work. Movement fix will prob cost $100+ depends

I would get it repaired. Find out who does repairs on the forum in your country and send it to them.

Easy peasy. Send it in to someone like @Strodda for a service ($150ish ). Have him fix the bezel spring and even waterproof it ($50ish). Then you'll be gtg for the next five years with a fantastic looking and functioning rep.

Can I suggest you try actually winding it up. Just wearing it isn't enough to charge the mainspring. It only maintains what power reserve is there to begin with. 30 full turns of the crown is sufficient to fully charge the mainspring.

Thanks for the shout out :)

As for fixing the movement, if a full service was needed, it would actually be less than suggested but it would need to be looked at closely to diagnose.
