I'm always amazed by the quality of PAM reps!
Saw some one post online the other day, and was wondering if this was a rep and what were the tells of a 359 rep?

Happy to hear thoughts!

i think that in order to be able to determine if it is a rep or gen we need to see a photo of the back of the watch
maybe more experienced members will know how to determine..

the position of "9" is the tell. But very difficult to tell anyway

9 is being pushed towards the center of dial to make it look correct with seconds subdial. Or I am crazy ;)

Read the Reference Guide. All will be revealed.

I did and frankly either I'm reading it wrong or there's just 1-2mm difference on the spacing of 9?

Tough to tell isn't it? The same guy posted more pics. From some angle it seems gen like and others rep. Very confusing!

I think this says it all about how good current reps are...
In practice there's no sure way to tell from the front without hires pic direct comparison. Wow :)

I don't know how you guys do it but I for the life of me can't tell without looking at the case back.

Guess just never take off your watch and you'll never get called out? Unless of course if you so happen to bump into ALE or someone like him LOL :D

It would be difficult without seeing the movement, frankly speaking. The dial issue is there, but could you measure the 1mm difference in the location of the subdial post at arm's length? I doubt most would be able to.

+1 This.
This is why no matter how i like PAMs, its just so hard to buy a gen,m even if i saw someone with a gen i would assume it was a rep because theres just too many out there! AP rep? split second glance is enough, Rollie? proper look. Pam? would need to molest the watch in order to figure it out!

I know Rolex fans who share your sentiment. :)
