There is a screw on the end of the deployment, just like a regular PRE-V buckle. unscrew that, and then pull out the pin. The other side can then be "removed" from the rubber strap.

It is removable. Here is my short tutorial. :D The system mentioned by spankster is the V1 deployment, this is for the V2.

1. Beginning of the removal. Same state as your picture. Screw looks useless but it is not. Unscrew all the way until the screw is removed.

2. Like so. See the screw at the top. Be careful not to loose it.

3. Using something of a similar diameter as the pin (I used the ever handy paperclip), push the pin out (it doesn't matter which side).

4. Viola! Deployment removed! :D

The main headache with this deployment structure is the screw is very small and you might need a pair of tweezers (and if your eyesight isn't that optimal, a loupe) to re-insert the screw in.

I hope this helps you somewhat. I actually uploaded the pics for the old deployment already before checking out the picture (duh) but maybe nobody uses them anymore. Hehehe I will post if anybody is confused about that one. :D
