Excuse me if this has been covered elsewhere, but I've been searching the forum and can't seem to find this topic. What should you do upon receiving your rep asian 7750 movement watch? Is there a break in period/care-maintenance protocol? I've seen posts where servicing upon receipt is recommended since some reps will not arrive properly oiled. This is my 1st rep, and it is still on it's way, but I wouldn't want to destroy it upon receipt and don't know if it'll come with instructions/care suggestions.:thinking::thinking:

My experience with GMT movements based on 7750 from H-maker are mostly OK. There is about 2-4 weeks long period of break-in where movement stabilizes and time keeping accuracy goes down about -4 sec / day and stays there. If you like this particular watch and want to keep it, just consider servicing it after half of a year.

Thanks Polonus. Bought it on 10-22, payment cleared and it was shipped on 10-24, now I'm tracking it on the couriers web page. As soon as I get it I'll try to post pics. I'm pretty sure I'll keep it, but the 089 inside the 297 it's also tempting...Then there is the 505, the 441 that you are about to get... It's going to get expensive

Got the watch, PAM 089 is gorgeous and I can't stop staring at it, took it to a watchsmith. At first he said he didn't even touch asian movements because they weren't worth the trouble, but out of curiosity asked to take a look at mine. i obliged and he was so surprised he changed his mind and offered to device it when required, even venture to guess it could be well over a year before a service was required based on his inspection of the watch.
