I'm trying to do my due diligence and would appreciate any opinions. My concern is mainly due to the texture of the finish on the outer ring below where the rotor spins. Do you think it's rep or gen and ideally why? Thanks in advance.
I can't speak as to wether it's gen or not, but I can tell you that that is a standard mill finish, which is kept because polishing it off would throw it out of spec. Here's the gen movement, where you can see that finish. From panerais website. View attachment 79447

You could probably look at the pictures from this puretime link and compare I guess. This is a different movement from the one you are showing in your pic because it's a 29j movement with a GMT hand. However, this is pretty much the best p9000 clone we have at the moment so you can have a look for yourself.
1. rotor screws are flat, gen like finishing
2. the slight revealing teeth form big ass gear, in between 12 and 1 o'clock position is missing
3. case set seems to be a 42mm, which VSF hasn't release yet
