I've been told to use a capecod, but does anyone know if its on the outside, inside or both?

It would be nice to not have to take the watch apart again.

Also, in removing the AR, will I notice a difference in glare? For anyone that has done it, with any PAM I suppose. Is the loss of AR worth it to get rid of the blue from the AR?

Yeah I would remove if overly blue tinted
The new noob one has colorless ar and nice clarity

The old ones had overly blue tint and not sure how effective the ar was for clarity
It is only in the inside
Cape cod will work but ideally with a dremel, by hand and no dremel will take time

Dremel is the way to go. It will take hours to get a decent result just by hand. You will need the proper polishing (soft) tool for the Dremel though.

damn, well thanks guys. Maybe I'll just leave it for now and just source a crystal some day. Maybe give that WSO a shot. I don't have a dremel, polishing tools or hours of elbow grease.

I've had a Noob and a DSN Fiddy. I didn't notice the blue AR on either one. Maybe i'm blind. :)

Well lucky you =P

There are some angles where I dont see it at all. And I originally liked it, just like the AR on my PO. But once it got in my head that the blue AR on this is not Gen-like and huge tell... it actually started to get to me. But then I realized that considering all the people I might bump into, probably zero will even know what Panerai is, so blue AR doesnt matter than much.

What do you mean maybe? I always suspected that the dsn fiddy crystal had a single sided blue nail varnish, rather than blue AR....lol

The one I have was modded. I suspect that the previous owner had the AR removed. I do not see any hint of blue.

So you're saying thatyou see he watch, but no blue? Hm, I think we can rule out that you're blind.........or you have a very good imagination....:)

I love the AR on my noob 217. Agree with you on that, C. But he dsn AR is as horrible as it gets. I blieve he gets the same AR now days as the noob versions. Old school Ar was like the blue protective film was still on the crystal...
