Remove permanent link from oyster bracelet?

I have tiny girl wrists....
All links have been removed and adjusted at the clasp, still loose on my wrist, need to remove one permanent link from 6oclock side.

Is this an easy task? I found some links on other forums with people having the same issue and it seems complex....

Thanks

They're pressed together so if you don't mind damaging one you can take two pliers on the sides and try to pull them apart. If you put down tape to avoid marring I don't know if you can get a good enough grip on it.

Wow.. you need another out??

Might be tricky, you will need to use one of the centre links on the one behind the one that you remove because I don't think there will be a hole drilled for the pin to go right through..

Interested in this as well.
I'm working on a build for my girl (36mm DJ) with an oyster band.
I will most likely have the same issue with her. It would help me to know this too.

It's not easy as you will effectively have to dismantle the bracelet links. Do it at the clasp end so that any damage is not too visible.

The links are pressure fit - you have 2 expansion pins which are forced into holes in the links, what you need to do is force the links off those expansion pins - doing it without damage is not easy.

Pulling links apart with pliers is possible but it makes a hell of a mess, but you can also try hammering/tapping a craft knife blade between the links to get a gap going, start on the inside face of the bracelet in order to hide any damage, then use something a little more solid to pry the links apart.

Once you've got the links apart, remove what you want and just reverse the procedure to re- assemble - hammer the links back onto the expansion pins, using a piece of wood as a drift to avoid damaging the edges of the links.

I did it, surprisingly it was really easy.

I grabed the left side of the to be removed link with my pliers and applied pressure on the other side with side cutter like this:

You will have to apply moderate force. While totally wrecking the link I wanted to remove (didn't care and I wouldn't be able to fit it in again anyway) the bracelet didn't even catch a scratch or dent.

I've done some searching, pictures would be handy, and that YouTube video is more like how to destroy your oyster bracelet lol

Tapping between the links sounds like the best option, thanks trip dog!

Weird, I've seen this exact same pic and text on TRF - are you from the Matrix ?
